about the pronunciation, its pronounced as sang-yeon i think your only issue is pronouncing the g! and for haknyeon it is hag-nyeon i think watching videos of the boyz and them pronouncing each others names will help!

I agree hearing them say it will help a lot more. I sometimes shorten Haknyeon's into Hak (hawk). but I love his voice, he is my ULT. I think this album was so good and such a huge surprise! Glad you liked it.

ahhh I loved this! coming from a hyunjae bias, he is a member that really sneaks up on you, but he is SO talented (and absolutely hilarious btw). he really stood out to me on this album, along with sangyeon, jacob, and changmin. this album is absolutely one of their best!! (also if you ever want to dive into their older music I really recommend reveal, breaking dawn, and the chase to start out. they're all very diverse in sound and I think you would definitely enjoy them!)

I understand that you have a really hard time with Haknyeon but the most easiest way to mention him is just to say "Hak" a lot of people who have problems with his name just say Hak. the a is a AH sound. Sangyeon is pronounced SANG (S-AH-NG) YUN Also a little fun fact for you, Eric sometimes says "Yeah I see" before his verses and he did in a few of the bsides here, he explained that it was meant to be heard as E-R-I-C so it's basically a Rapper tag! So thought you wanted to know!

Korean translator here — to be fair, Haknyeon's name is particularly difficult for English speakers because it has an extra layer of transliteration. It's not just the English romanization of a Korean name; it's the English romanization of the Korean pronunciation of a Chinese name (his father was from Hong Kong). Think of when something is Google translated through multiple languages and ends up completely different! In his name, the character "hak" is pronounced like the word "hang", except the "a" vowel is "ah" instead of "ay". It's "hahng" instead of "hahk" because when a "k" is followed by an "n" in Korean (haK-Nyeon), the "k" becomes an "ng" sound. The character "nyeon" is similar to the word "nun" but with a "y" sound between "n" and "u". If his name was spelled closer to how it actually sounds, it would be something like "Hahng-nyuhn". "Sangyeon" is similar, but a bit simpler. It's kind of like the word "sang" except the "a" vowel is "ah" instead of "ay", and "eo" in Korean is pronounced more like "uh". A spelling closer to how his name actually sounds would be something like "Sahng-yuhn". Hope this helps!

hi! I just wanted to suggest to you, that if you wanna do any The Boyz Variety content here in the future, I highly recommend you start with Come On The Boyz! GODSAENG! It's a really fun series and I think you'll really like it!

🤩🤩 so glad you did a reaction for this one! I went looking for it right after I finished listening to this ep!! Especially because of horizon! when I heard that guitar, i was like “caitlin would probably love this, I wonder if she got to check it out” ✨✨✨

thursday

gonna be honest but i joined your patreon JUST to listen to this reaction because i watched your reaction to roar!! (also very SUPER jealous you got to see them in concert! they're ults of mine and i'm *still* waiting for an opportunity to see them in person) i would HIGHLY HIGHLY suggest checking out so many of their variety videos! it would be so much fun for you and to watch you react to all the boys in one place. as a deobi who's been with them since their debut, i'm so glad to see them receiving so much praise and i also highly agree that this is probably their best comeback yet. they had to basically fight their company tooth and nail to utilize them better since with their last comeback, whisper, they felt that they were lacking so much. they have so much confidence this comeback and you can TELL!! i do agree with an earlier comment, the Come On The Boyz! in GOD-SAENG is a great variety show; it took place last year though, so eric was unable to join them. if you like longer episodic variety shows though, it would still be fun to watch!! however, if you'd like recommendations on other variety type videos (things like Idol Human Theater, interviews, etc) then i'd be more than happy to help out if you'd like! sorry for this comment being so long, i just adore these boys so much and i'm glad to see you have such genuine interest in them 💗 p.s. also excited to hopefully see you react to the older albums in the future!! :] you absolutely won't regret it!

FYI, 04:34 the whole rap section starting from "Ah, this freaking desire" is actually Sunwoo not Eric as it is on the lyrics vid :)
