Hey all!

Minor spoilers ahead for $5 Patrons, skip to below the dashed line if you want to avoid them. 

It's been a hot second since I've done one of these. Nothing too major, but a few small improvements. 

First, in Ch163 - I made Alister a bit less stupid. Still dumb, as he's one of those guys that hyperfocused Runes and can't speak to another living being without sticking his foot in his mouth, but not quite *that* dumb. 

For that matter, I made slight improvements to mentions of Rank 7s earlier in the story, making it more clear that they haven't been seen in the kingdom since it was established. No story relevance here, just tidying stuff up. 

And finally, (and most important) I didn't properly convey Noah's thoughts in Ch164. Changed plans a bit and he now wants to get all his Runes perfected before he upgrades them, as he was rushing just a bit too much. He wants to fix both Black Lightning & Weeping Storm.

I like it but I've been a bit confused why Noah hasn't sundered the runes he says feel weak. I remember him mentioning Maelstrom feeling clunky and wanting to sunder and reform it but I think he just uses it instead? I feel like I even remember a line from him saying he couldn't use it for normal wind blades because it was locked into only creating maelstroms.

I am enjoying it but definitely feels slower than previous. Like you're trying to pace out the arc? Few times you've said something about how he'll work on his runes very soon but it wasn't addressed in the next chapter.

Spoilers ahead! I was just wondering what's gonna happen if/when sunder runs out of energy? I mean Noah has been dying all over the place, and now he's sundering runes too, so that has to be using up sunder's energy, right? I'm assuming it has a huge reserve cos it's a master rune, and that it recharges when he's not using it, but sooner or later it's bound to cause an issue.....right?

Master runes have passiv effects, and the revival of Sunder is its passiv, so no cost involved. As for using it to split runes, it does take some of the energy but its just like using any other runes, it recharges with time.

Yeah the rate Noah is using it is nowhere near enough to get it low on energy, it’ll be a long time before he’s strong enough to draw enough strength from sunder for it to need time to recharge, his own runes will give out to its pressure way before sunder runs out (at the moment)
