Chloe Kendall

It’s not letting me read😭😭

Hailey

Oh my god, my poor baby 😔❤️‍🩹

Alina Cretu

phew, you had us there for a second 😭

Sharpe

I think Kai needs a hug

Becshlec

OKAY DAMMNNNNNN

Becshlec

KAI MY BABYYYYY BOYYYY

Jay

this nearly brought me to tears oh my god axel is suffering so much because of his father

Mellie

Thank goodness Gin turns out to be okay but KAI!!! I’m sorry you had to be related to someone that evil 😢

Megan Ferguson

Ok so not to be dramatic but so happy I called it about him being a marksman!!!! I can’t believe this POS father did this to him 😭😭 I hope Axel kisses all his scars

Jennifer

I know this is just foreshadowing to whats happening in present but im mad about it lol. I want them to enjoy the little things and not be a cold hearted mobster

Lou

OMG KAI😥

Panacea

Omfg this was so fricken sad, man! Kai’s father is a fricken asshat to the highest degree. To be able to instill such mental strength during a time of hardship is no easy feat. So, I can only assume that his upbringing made him feel as frozen and stuck as he thought Gin was in that cage, waiting for someone to shoot him loose.

Nancy Tsiligou

I read the whole chapter with a single breath

Andrea

Yeah, that's fucked up dude...

Steph

OH THANK GOD!! 😭 But Im so sorry Kai that you had to endure such pain from your own father. Now we know how he got those scars on his back 🥺💔

Andrea

I'm not sure. Okay, at first Kai didn't plan on falling in love with Axel. He just wanted to show him who was boss and punish him for his homophobia. But now that real feelings are involved and his father has already warned him? This is going to end very badly, Kai. It's going to be a very intense confrontation when Kai's father, Kai and Axel meet. And I'm looking forward to it.

Melissa 🌻

I don't think I took a breath that entire chapter

Hermione

Okay so… his dad is going to take Axel and hold a gun to his head probably…. Guys IM NOT READY! It’s 2 freakin am in the morning and I wake up to read thissss. Forget going back to sleep, this is SO SAD AND I HATEEEEEEEE HIS DAD. Everything he knew in that moment came crumbling down. His dad, Gin and the way his dad feels about his family just went to hell. I need next chapter PLEASE😭

Azi_Aziraphale

I'm sure you love our tears 😭😭

grey

the kitty through the guns point of view made me sob omg

Rosie Kay

I don't know what his dad expected tbh 😂😂 but definitely not liking the implications for Axel 🙃

Nitzan Harel

Hmmmmm… he is still kind of a piece of shit, but he is definitely sympathetic.

Keiji Akaashi

Wow.. that was a really dark chapter.. I'm glad that little Kitty is okay but the price was high.. 🥺 And Kai's Father?! What a miserable, lame and horrible excuse for a man he is! Disgusting! 😡

parakiadute

Ok the disclaimer is reassuring Edit: Bloody hell.

t

personally i think axel can handle himself when it comes to kai’s dad and his goons. like idk, i just don’t think kai’s dad or his crew could actually handle axel lol did we all forget who the hell axel is?? he literally fought off two of kai’s dad’s goons and still talked his shit. yeah he was bruised up but let’s be real, axel is not an easy target. if he wanted to, he could easily be another loan shark or a little gang banger lol, to me he’s a little street banger fr, probably hella street smart from everything we’ve seen about him. and yeah kai’s from a “mafia gang” family but honestly i don’t think he’d hesitate to kill his dad if it came down to it. his dad basically raised him to suppress everything so you know kai’s been holding in years of anger and hate. like if his dad ever got axel, kai would not let that slide. but tbh this feels like foreshadowing. i can totally see kai’s dad getting ahold of axel, using his debt against him, maybe even bringing his dad into it somehow. and axel’s gonna have to fight for his life, he’s not going down easy. before that happens tho, i really think we’re gonna see axel and kai’s relationship start to blossom. axel’s slowly letting his walls down after their last moment and u can feel something changing between them. so yeah, the power of love is about to win again!!! axel and kai are gonna fall for each other so bad and i can’t wait to see it （╹◡╹）♡

Andrea
>>192681220

I believe not only their love will be a slow burn, but also the confrontation. We can expect to wait a long time for a Kai/his father/Axel chapter. That won't happen anytime soon.

Andrea
>>192677835

I think ee can expect to wait a long time for a Kai/his father/Axel chapter. That won't happen anytime soon.

Renée

That was absolutely excellent storytelling and foreshadowing for his relationship with Axel.

Tørii Sama

I am not gonna lie. Kai’s Dad is indeed right, never to have a weakness when being in those situations so it will never be used against you. But the way he went about it by disposing of Gin instead of telling Kai to let the cat go instead was really sad. I’m glad Kai thought of that alternative by shooting a lock on the cage. Poor Kai though. The lore drop was crazy!

MotleyPariah

I keep liking Kai more and more

AddiEverybodysDaddy

My poor baby, I knew the cuts on his back weren’t a good sign 😭

Vee_Breeze

Can we talk about the way he was explaining how to shoot the gun? What his heart beat needs to be, the angle and even the stance that he had! Amazing!

zakhia tatum

I wanted to hate Kai but man ur making it hard (Kai and axel perfect for each other

Hope

Wait so is he not attached to hia kids? He'd let them die?

Hope

My poor baby

𝓛 ੈ✩‧₊˚

Oh if that fricking guy transformed out this comic I would woop his ass

Mary P Fahy

Poor Kai. That is sad, I worry what his Asshole Sperm Donor “dad” is going to do or have done to Axel. Definitely not the lifestyle or “career” to follow in the footsteps of that Kai wants for himself.

hicosee

Dang. I was hoping he’d shoot his dad…

t

ughh i hate that kai’s dad is hot & he’s a piece of shit. wtfff

Lesbian53

Pasta, I don’t mean any malice by this, I truly love bgf, I’m just curious why you don’t make the Axel and Kai arc it’s own comic instead of having it take over this one? I have been reading this comic for around 3 years I think, and I loved it for Onyx and Keane. But now, it just feels like it’s only about these two randos and their toxic yaoi. It also feels like everyone has forgotten all of the awful shit Axel did? Like, did I miss a redemption arc? I just miss Onyx and Keane so much, especially since we are FINALLY at the end of the slow burn, they’ve been through so much 😭 I just wanna see them have their happily ever after. But instead it’s these dudes. 😔 yeah…

Kiri

Yall remember when this was all just about a boy cosplaying and pretending to be his best friends girlfriend? What a time. I was so relieved when he shot the cage oh my god thank you for not killing her!!!!!!!

Kiri
>>192757548

For the record I still absolutely love this and am so invested!! I just can’t believe we have gotten to a freaking mafia plot line 😅

alex

i hope the cat is okayyyyy BUT LIKE DAMN

Sydney

I'm late to the party this time, but holy fucking shit. I want to string up that sorry excuse of a "man" and beat him six ways to Sunday. And then do it again. And then let Kai do it. And then let Axel do it. And then DO IT AGAIN!!! Well done, Pasta, for making an evil character that everyone loathes in their bones! I'm so glad Gin is okay! And here's my horrible dad joke to end it with: Kai is the tonic for that cute kitty, Gin! Badum tss! I'll see myself out... 🏃🏼‍♀️

Bri Rose

😭😭😭

g0_to_sl33p

I know I’m super late to comment but this chapter was amazing! I was so scared that he was going to shoot the cat but I’m so glad he made the choice and aimed for the cage instead. Also bro I don’t know why but the panel with the marks on his back did it for me legit started crying 💔 but still such a good chapter amazing work!

t

i get why people feel mixed and wonder why pasta can’t just give axel and kai an arc already, but honestly, i don’t think she should, at least not yet. axel’s a main supporting character with a ton of baggage to unpack, and he plays such a big role in the main characters’ stories. there’s so much to unfold with him. i think that’s why pasta hasn’t done an arc yet, because axel’s not just some side dude, he’s the main supporting character (with kai tagging along, lol). yeah, our main boys are finally together, but they haven’t even talked about what happened when onyx left. we as readers know what happened, but does keane know? they literally only touched the tip of the iceberg. once axel and kai figure out their relationship, and axel starts understanding his sexuality, that’s when everything’s really gonna come together. it just takes time lol.

Case

Oof. deep af, too relatable 😂. This is awesome, thank you!

Marija 9

idc what everyone says but i really enjoy kai and axel story and you're potraying this so good! looking forward next chapter!

SwagMasta

Omg poor kai holy shit

JenBear

Oof buckle side is... Ouch 😳 that awful man shot himself in both feel with his own sexism cos if he left Kai alone and took his sister like they both wanted then they might not want to get revenge so badly 🤣

Arctura Blackbriar

You showed him weakness, alright. Beating up a tiny little kid? Ooooh SO tough 🙄

Renée

While I totally get where you’re coming from (we all started originally following the series for Onyx and Keane’s relationship), this is Pasta’s story, which means they get to tell it how they want. They put a lot of effort into creating something we get to read each week, and they have been more than generous in the past listening to readers’ input, even going so far as to create polls for character names and traits. This is something people look forward to reading each week because Pasta is the creator and ultimately calling the shots. If you don’t like the story, telling the artist to “fix it” to your liking is unfair to the artist and the followers of their story. Besides that, there is so much world building going on here. We still don’t have Axel’s backstory, but we have enough to know he’s a defensive bully for a reason. Maybe the Kai/Axel story arc ties in to Onyx/Keane’s story arc significantly. Regardless, this is Pasta’s story. If you want a specific story, you could write fan fiction or create your own comic. I mean, that’s how Twilight and 50 Shades of Gray were made, from turning from being a frustrated consumer to an inspired creator.

me too bro. that was his chance to escape his dad. and i doubt they would put a little kid in prison

P!nksho3s

This was so moving😢❤️🤍❤️🤍

⛧𝔳𝔦𝔫𝔠𝔢𝔫𝔱⛧

omg this episode made me cry so much. when i saw that kai's dad forced him to shoot the cat (cats are one of my favorite animals) i immediately started crying and i didn't stop and continued even after i finished. also i feel so bad for kai, his father can go to hell >:(

violet

idk who is complaining about Kai and Axel getting screen time, but they are the reason I’m still here- I love Keane and Onyx but this is something new and interesting to follow. Kai and Axel are completely different characters with a different dynamic and it changes things up when the other characters have been on the screen for years 🤷🏽‍♀️ plus we know nothing about Axel’s back story and why he acts the way he does, which is relevant to Keane/Onyx. I also don’t know why people complain about Axel and Kai “getting” to move faster while Keane and Onyx took a long time before anything happened- they are different people w/ a different dynamic, and Kai literally comes from a gangster family (things are on the line so he has to decide), of course they would move at a faster speed! Alls this to say, let the author write their story how they want- I’m just happy to be here to see the masterpiece 🙌🏽

Mani
>>192704062

I would assume if it came down to it. yes. 🧍🏽‍♀️

Mani
>>192685693

OMG I just realized what you just said it. I didn’t even catch that!!! 😭

Shelbi

Poor Kai 😭😭😭😭

t

i love coming back to the chat and reading the new comments when i’m bored hehe (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)

Em

I hate these episodes 😭 I just wanna see them present time and see their relationship develop . Seems like it’s going so slow :(

Lux

I’m not the only one who can’t wait to see more of Alex and Onyx together I feel like we don’t know a lot about their friendship

Tina Gomez

Phew I was hoping he'd shoot the cage and Gin would get away. I hate Kai took such a brutal beating for it, but honestly I'd do the same for my cats🥺 Kai you're a fuckin hero🩷✨

Tina Gomez
>>192714351

I'm worried for Axel too, but I honestly feel like this time Kai won't miss a chance to shoot his dad to save his man🥺

Tina Gomez
>>192689570

True and this is why og Batman kept his distance from having real relationships with women or others. It was always used against him. I say og cus idk what the comics are like these days. He couldn't be with Selena because of this, Jason Todd died from Joker's doing, etc. But Kai didn't ask for this, so I can get why he's opposed to being a numb a hole like his father.

Olivia Bigba

Jeez, what is wrong with those fathers in this series? 😣 first Onyx’s dad, after Axel’s dad, and now Kai’s dad 🤢🤦🏽‍♀️ We need more love over here.

Nico Nico

ok but tell me i'm not the only one who kept going 'shoot your dad shoot your dad pleaaaase' 🙈🙈right?? its not just me who's that fucked up right??? (this fucked me up so hard good job 😭 )

Kasey

WELL DAMN.

KylalaKitty

Yeah, no thanks. I'm skipping this one.

Randall Amberson
>>193246487

Some people have Daddy issues in real life. IF that turns out to be a theme that this work is exploring, well, it's about *time* somebody did one for *them*.

Randall Amberson
>>193188968

Kai's redemption arc, *Finally*. You Would Not *Believe* the multitude of people from the Webtoon side who just *swore* that Kai was *nothing* but exploitative/predatory.

Moss

Oh god hes going to get too attatched to axel and someones going to use that arent they.

Lin

Not even a "That's how it is" He said "That's how it SHOULD be" Oh HELLL nawww

Elizabeth T

So badass. I love Keane and Onyx, but Kai is my favorite ❤️

LittleFoxy

I hate that some parents are really like "yea you own me your life I brought you to life, and you need to act like that" Like bro they desidet to have children. Anyway I LOVE YOUR TOON SO MUCHH, AND I LOVE how your art has developed over time with the toon!!! ❤️💕✨

LittleFoxy
>>194825481

Plus omg did His father really hit him with the buckle of the belt 😢ouch poor baby

yvette

oh no someone’s gonna use axel to get to kai

Nick Fry

I just gotta say..I can’t be sobbing first thing of the day. And I want a gin of my own

K

Idk if my comment posted before but I've been catching up on this and the dad's logic doesn't make any sense. If you're not supposed to get attached, why have 2 children? 1 child will have an attachment to their parents already so having a sibling adds another element
