Okay I just read this episode like 6 times already. I think Axel really is softening and allowing Kai to cross boundaries but cautiously. Personally, I’ve been in the space of like, “I’m fine, don’t talk to me, don’t touch me, don’t call me.” But also like, silently hoping the person will show up anyway and prove something while also steeling myself up to be let down. Being scared of the risk but wanting it anyway. Trauma is an s.o.b. I often come off prickly and or aloof but I’m really a softie and we just can’t let people know that off the bat. We move the line just a smidge and see how you enter.

Either he has been taught to STRONGLY believe a mans touch is gross (perhaps bc a parent was sexually abused ) or he himself was sexually abused by someone of the same sex which can make a person be very wary of their own sexual orientation if it aligns with that abusers gender...bless them both bc they may noy be touch starved but theyre both affection and kindness starved :(( This is probably why he was so into "lynx" he may thought "finally im into a girl in a deeper way than just physically!" But it was probably very earth shattering when he realized it was just onyx (which i have a theory he may have had a small crush on when they were younger or they were friends once upon a time idk)
