Ahhh I really thought keane was going to say “cause I’m bi” or some shit. But the answer he gave falls more in line with him I think

uwu moll

BOII NOO WHY DID YOU DO THATTTANDJJWSH, the fact the keane was still BLUSHING AS WELL??!:!:7:!/&

Estelle

This couldn’t have gone worse

ManaR

My heart aches! 🥺 Although I was hoping for a different response from Keane, I can’t say I’m surprised. Still hurts though.

Estelle

Sigh. They missed the opportunity to simply kiss kiss fall in love

MAY✨

I mean im kinda okay with potential Ethan and Onyx relationship as long as keane and onyx are endgame

Laetiiiiiiii

more ethan means more jealous keane 😌

Misakai

Keane oh god, I want to see him jealous!! jajajajaja

My_FleetingMind

We should probably give Keane some time (not too much mind!). His answer was baaad but both him and Onyx clearly have fledgling feelings for each other and it’s got to be hella confusing at this point! I just hope the Ethan/love triangle doesn’t become too much of a thing before Keane comes to his senses! Though I already sort of feel bad for Ethan… That rebound message from Onyx was way too speedy!!!

Isabella

keane can never say the right thing

Maxi

Please don’t make a big love triangle I want Keane and onyx together :(((

Nick

proud of Onyx for thinking about the healthy, non toxic option, aka Ethan, like come on, Onyx x Keane is predictable yet weird at this point of the story, Ethan is actually a good guy to Onyx?

Charlie Beaver

Honestly Ethan isn't a big enough character for me to ship that. Like we know nothing about him. I'd rather just see Onyx actually talk about his feelings with Keane

Rain

But I don't want a love triangle 😔 *read it in a baby voice*

Gwentergreen

we were barely introduced to Ethan and if Onyx and Keane weren't bad at communicating Onyx wouldn't be thinking about Ethan at all :(

Nick
>>96274087

they've actually had a long and chill conversation about themselves and what they felt and thought, unlike Onyx and Keane that can only communicate through games apparently and Keane having forced Onyx to do what he wanted when he wanted for the whole duration of this webtoon up til now, never listening to Onyx. Maybe I'm too old now to like the typical fantasized toxic teenage relationships teens like

add1etown

YO IM NGL MAN U BETTER NOT MAKE ONYX FALL IN LOVE WITH THAT ONE GUY SIDE CHARACTER LIKE NO WAY

Chrisp_Bee

Oh Keane…you’re as good with your words as I am… and I’m a bull in a china shop. 🤦🏽‍♀️

>>96272897

💯! While I’d have loved for this conversation to end more positively, I feel like it ended more true to character for both of them and where they’re at in their current journey. Especially as Onyx is only just coming to terms with his feelings for Keane, and Keane just accomplished his main goal to get his girlfriend (not yet even taking time to reflect on changing feelings towards Onyx). They feel the shift and they’re dancing around it oh-so-carefully because of their friendship and respective positions. I also hope Ethan/love triangle turns more into a friendship. I know Ethan is crushing, so I too feel bad for him, but I feel like Onyx having a queer friend will really help him right now if they can shift the dynamic.

My_FleetingMind
>>96274087

I’m in my late 30s (so pretty old and jaded! 😉) but I don’t see it quite the same way. To me it’s not toxic at all, it’s just two young people trying to work out their feelings for one other, when actually a lot is at stake (a near lifelong friendship for one thing). They’re not communicating yet because it’s complex and they’re both pretty confused and scared. Onyx briefly opened up to Ethan in the toilets because they appear to share common ground. Also he doesn’t care for him (in the way that he does for Keane) so he can be more honest at this point. That doesn’t necessarily equal a healthy, non toxic romantic relationship option though. 🤷🏻‍♀️

add1etown

PLEEEASE MAKE ONYX LIKE KEANE SND NOT THAT RANDOM GUY

Nick
>>96274087

As I see it, Keane x Onyx romantically is kinda shallow, other than being 2 good looking childhood friends that are exploring their sexuality, I don't think there's any other chemistry between them, they're alright as friends I guess, fooling around and playing games. And people like them because they saw those 2 attractive characters together first, if the creator had introduced Ethan first, most readers would prefer Ethan, that's how it works usually in BL, people don't care as much about the depth of the story as much as they want to see some gay fanart of their fave ship, which tends to also be the 1st ship. But Ethan is more clear about what and how he feels and seems to like communication, maybe it's my personal preference but I like him better as a love interest. But we all have our biases I guess xd. Also, Onyx better care more about Keane cuz it's his best friend and his sexual awakening, but that's cuz Onyx also knew Ethan first, he just met Ethan and already thinks so much about him, he can't let Keane go yet cuz he's all he knows, but it's clear he's crushing on Ethan too, and it's a new chapter in his life he hasn't explored yet.

Susan Lilley

This writing is amazing. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Artiø Vollrath

Like PurpleBloom said above, I don't necessarily thing Onyx is in lobe with Ethan. When you need someone to talk to sometimes is it easier to go to the person outside of the issue to get a clear view. And, he trusts him since they each know fairly big secrets about each other. On the other hand, Onyx is afraid if he is honest with Keane, he will lose him. Sometimes the only way to stay by your love is to just be friends. If someone, of the same gender, were to suddenly profess their live to you and you don't feel the same way, you may be uncomfortable and part ways. Onyx doesn't want to risk it and I can respect it at this point in the story.

Tyler Eldridge

Lol that could have gone better but maybe Ethan will cheer him up, or at least make Keane jealous

Chey

Onyx and Ethan should have a little somethin goin on. Ethan seems like a good character for development for all of those involved. While Onyx is still knee deep for Keane, having a breath of fresh air from Ethan while Keane is with Hailey(?) may be good for Onyx as well. Who knows, this may not sit well with Keane and he'll realized something of figure it out.

Emi Ancheta

I love the idea that purple bloom was talking about with Nick. I think Onyx rn just needs an outlet. He found that in Ethan. Especially after this conversation with Keane he would just rather be around someone who actually is understanding who is he and how he feels versus playing a back and forth game that’s emotionally exhausting as he is with Keane. Honestly I can’t wait to see how both of these relationships develop. I’m sensing some temporary distance coming between Onyx and Keane.

My_FleetingMind
>>96274087

It’s interesting that we see it so differently and it’s good to have the debate. For me Keane x Onyx isn’t romantically shallow at all…they share similar interests and love to spend time together. There is clearly an attraction and also an admiration there and they have both shown that they care for the other deeply (with Keane in particular actually being fiercely protective of Onyx on several occasions). They put each other first, even and especially when there are others involved. I don’t think Onyx dressing up as Lynx is solely for Keane either and it’s definitely not forced. Onyx admitted that he likes the reaction that he gets from Keane when he does it…whether it’s validation or praise and that he would actually be happy to do it more for that reason. That’s very much rooted in Onyx’s own needs and feelings though. He always has the choice to say no, yet he doesn’t. Also for me it’s not about them being “2 attractive characters together first”. Ethan has barely appeared and like Hailey is very much a side character. There’s no depth there with him whatsoever yet…either as a character of his own or with Onyx.

izzy

i am sensing a love triangle coming up and i am actually very excited bc why should keane be the only one getting some ☝️🤨

izzy
>>96278273

i need some character development from keane bc rn all i'm getting is annoyed that he used onyx in the first place to secure a gf and then got jealous of ethan being friendly like you brought that on yourself my dude 🫥 i am team onyx and whoever openly communicates their wants and expectations with him

bro

ahhhh can’t wait for next ep

k0ii

ahhhhhhhh

Becca

You know what Keane doesn’t deserve Onyx. I am team Ethan until Keane stops dating Hailey

Der Keks 002

That's going to be exciting, but at this point, I think he only need one to talk

LeDekadentka

I'm actually satisfied with how things went. I see some people wanted them to confess and kiss again but I think it would be unrealistic and tbh kinda boring. It would be definitely too fast. Also I don't think it's right to blame Keane for saying something like that. They are childhood friends who risk losing their friendship by falling in love. The fact that Keane is already slowly changing his feelings towards Onyx is already a big step in plot. Anyway i really like this chapter and I'm looking forward to upcoming drama 😂

ivitti

i love how your art it’s getting more beautiful🤍🤍

i have absolutely no words… head empty no thoughts

I NEED TIME TO ORGANIZE MY FEELINGS AND THOUGHTS THIS ONE WENT CRAZYYYY THAT WAS A. LOT. TO PROCESS

Ljay

So close to everything being out in the open where they can do good but damage …. He didn’t mean to hurt you onyyy 🥺🥺

Hunter

AHHHHH So close!

Maya Costello

A swing and a miss so bad it hits you in the back of the head with a bat repeatedly

Avery

Yeah I feel like that’s the most realistic way this would go. Also the author needs more plot so this doesn’t end too early lmao.

Avery

^^^& I agree that onyx deserves someone actually interested in him w out literally dating someone else *cough cough HAILEY cough cough* so let’s go Team Ethan™️

little bit louder

Yeah, Keane definitely is still too self-referential to even come close to understanding Onyx right now. I’m glad there’s another, more supportive relationship for Onyx for now—hopefully seeing that leads to some revelation for his bestie.

Shay

OMFG ETHAN IS GONNA MAKE KEANE SO FUCKIN JEALOUS AND I AM H E R E F O R I T 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

THE ICONIC KEANE X ONYX...ETHAN JUST MET HIM😹😭

Cassandra

Ahhhhhh it's a cliffhanger for my heart.

Ren Freya

Give me a love triangle pls 🥹

My_FleetingMind

The love triangle comments! When you came for Keane x Onyx and not a love triangle… 😭

Persona Nom Gratin
>>96290226

Yeah, and though no one really talks about it much, Keane has feelings for and an established relationship with Hailey on top of everything else. That's a lot to sort through! Plus *Hailey deserves communication and respect too*! She's a human being with feelings. Keane hopefully has that in mind a little bit too. But look, Keane is a teenager and part of that is making trash decisions. Makes for a really interesting story!

Elijah Jones

Onyx is gonna need some gay advice I'm guessing

Mares

I just hope Keane realized he said something wrong. Like: please don’t make him stupid enough that he doesn’t recognize how Onyx shut down and got bitter after saying he was just kissing Onyx because he feels obligated/grateful. I think it would just be a big step if he could even realize something went wrong and think on it. I need him to pick up at least one clue! Out of the many that have been scattered around him….

Wond'ring Lisa

Was that Onyx messaging Ethan or the other way round?

Lee Blic

Keane you absolute buffoon

Maria Davinci

Onyx: sure I'll answer your question but answer mine first so I can tailor my response based on yours. I love this so much.
