This might be their first serious fight... I’m so relieved that Onyx used his own brain and heart, while looking at his best friend crying (maybe even first time with him) after hearing Onyx’s sharp as knife words and acted as a caring friend would act after that. 🥰 Instead of blindly listening to Ethan’s advice to keep distance from his bf. I’m also so happy Onyx didn’t let him leave alone, because Keane is pretty bad mess right now. I’m sure Onyx would have done the same thing, even if he hadn't been in love with Keane. I believe Onyx loves and cares for him as a friend too very much. 🥺 I’m not quite sure, if Ethan gave that advice because he wants Onyx just for himself OR just because he is genuinely trying to help Onyx. 🤔 If Keane would be okay dating with Hailey and smiling etc, it would be more than okay for Onyx to think about his own well-being too and take some time being alone. But of course he should tell to Keane honestly, why he needs time alone, even if Keane was happy or not. Just leaving him clueless won't help anyone, it would just destroy one great friendship. Because Keane obliviously isn’t happy (and Onyx will hopefully hear why), his best friend also keeping distance from him would hurt Keane so much. Onyx has felt like a third wheel this whole time, so it has surely hurted him a lot! I'm happy that Keane maybe realizes better now, how Onyx really feels, but it's not okay him to feel worthless because of it. 😢 Because he is not. He needs a HUG. A Long lasting one. Or two. Just like Onyx did when he cried. If Onyx is going to tell Keane that he kissed Ethan, maybe that will tell for Keane himself, what he is thinking about that. If he realizes, that knowing about that hurts him like hell, he would maybe figure out, that he is feeling something more towards Onyx... Ooor not, because Keane was also jealous, if Onyx had other friends as a kid. 🥲 And I kind of want Keane to like Onyx in romantic sense first, then him wearing dress etc. and not just when he is Lynx. But these are just my thoughts and I can’t wait for next week to come! This is my favorite story, that I’m following. 😘

Ethan gave good advice. Onyx was hurting and space was/is definitely needed if this unrequited love is hurting him so much. Onyx didn’t yell at Keane because of Ethan he yelled because he was making an attempt to try to do something different and move on (hence the date with Ethan) and as soon as he comes back from a date feeling okay there’s Keane wanting to (or seemingly wanting to) talk about a situation (Hailey) that keeps hurting Onyx’s feelings. They just need to communicate and be honest and if Keane can’t reciprocate his feelings then yeah Onyx will need some space BUT with him calming down and them talking he can hopefully say it in a sweeter way.

It wasn’t really good advice to be honest Ethan should told onyx talk out with keane not to avoid the problem to communicate with keane about it but I’m glad that onyx invited keane in his house tho onyx was definitely hurting because keane doesn’t realize that he have feeling for him and he was spending time with Hailey more than him he was frustrated and hurt he been holding it he left out I don’t blame onyx for that but there was lack communication between the both of them

The tension is building! Also I would not necessarily say it's a good idea to take Ethan's advice, after all Onyx doesn't know him well and he clearly has an interest in keeping Onyx away from his crush.

I think they need communication more than time apart (which ultimately wont solve anything and will just lead to the situation being dragged out further). I'm SO relieved that Onyx reacted the way that he did and I'm proud of him! I really do hope Keane and Onyx now manage to communicate, even just a little. I personally feel like the advice from Ethan was terrible (and granted he barely knows Onyx…or Keane or Onyx and Keane, which is maybe why I don’t think he should be doling out such dramatic "solutions" as advice). Maybe it bugs me because I feel like it was more selfish than helpful. He even acknowledged that it would hurt Keane... I mean who wouldn't be hurt by your best friend (and at this point that's still very much what they are) suddenly wanting time apart? Especially when you have no idea as to the real reason behind it. You would think all sorts and you would assume that you had done something terrible. Which is basically what happened on a small scale after Onyx blurted out the "I'm sick of you!" The damage that can be done by not communicating... Maybe it wasn't badly intended (I get that Ethan has his own reasons) but still...that kind of advice, from somebody with little knowledge of Keane and Onyx's near lifelong relationship and with their own romantic agenda...is really not for me. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Finally, I agree with Abnoid in the comment above. The character development of both Keane and Onyx within this arc really is excellent and my weakness too! I feel so lucky and grateful to be subscribing to this story and all that comes with it. Thank you author! 💜

Lol Onyx, Ethan told you to put some space between the two of you, NOT be mean to him 😭😭and tbh I think Ethan’s advice WAS good. Onyx was getting really hurt from Kean going on and on about Hailey, so it is logical to say, “I think maybe I need time to myself for my own healing and to sort out my priorities”. So the advice was good—onyx’s delivery in the heat of the moment was not

Okay…are you ready kids? (Aye aye captain!) This update gave me all the feels man omg….I honestly don’t know where to start…. The art in this update is absolutely beautiful. I love seeing the “improvement” (it’s been amazing from the start!) with each update. I could never draw anything like this and the way you get the expressions so…right??? It’s just. Amazing. Kudos to you author…but listen we gotta talk. Ethan’s advice could be good, it could be. Doesn’t mean I like it but it could have been helpful, as others said, if it was done the right way. Taking space from each other to sort out feelings could benefit them greatly if they have a calm conversation before hand with some explanation why they want the space *cough* Onyx *cough*. They can’t just stop talking and expect that to help their friendship. Over everything, as I’ve said before their friendship comes first. If space is what’s needed for a little bit (I MEAN LIKE ONE UPDATE) then space should happen. Everyone deserves the chance to sort out their thoughts on their own, and honestly Keane hasn’t gotten that. Things are being thrown at him left and right all at once. Hailey and her thoughts on “Lynx” crush, wanting to have sex with Keane and making it official, Keane sorting out his thoughts around Onyx in a bra (honestly still laughing about this 😂) and now Onyx’s reaction…this breakdown was bound to happen. Doesn’t mean I like it!!! I just want to hug him 🫂 Keane, honey, you’re a little himbo but you don’t mess everything up. This reaction from Onyx is so so so much more than just being a little annoyed at something you did. Honestly I think Onyx gets off (not in that way…y’all are nasty 😏) on Keane being dumb 😂 All this could be fixed with a “simple” (it’s simple but not really) explanation. And I need that to happen ASAP!!! Onyx, thank you for stopping Keane. My heart was in my stomach there for a minute thinking Keane was going to just walk away without Onyx saying anything. I was about to beat his ass!!! Thankfully Onyx did the right thing, and if I remember correctly the news was showing a shelter in place warning right??? So I think they won’t be getting that space after all and we might finally, FINALLY, get these dumbasses (said with love) to communicate…. Okay…I think I’ve said enough now? Idk I’ll probably be back again at some point with more of my rambling 😂
