And given Keane’s track record, he doesn’t trust it to be for a reason that won’t hurt him in the end. So he’s been playing a little revenge this whole time trying to wait and bait Keane’s true motives out. What I’m scared of is what Keane will say. This conversation has the potential to focus on outing Onyx & his feelings for Keane without really forcing Keane to confront his own feelings towards Onyx. While I think Onyx has come to terms with the idea of being gay, I’m not sure that being gay has ever crossed Keane’s mind — so he doesn’t yet seem to realize he’s capable of liking Onyx the same way.
