Launching a Start-11 Pathfinder 1st ed Campaign: Heroes' Epoch (Patreon)

Since my cancer is in remission, and I am slowly recovering from the radiation that killed it, I decided to try my hand at running a ttRPG campaign again. After a discussion with my players, I have decided to make it a Start-11 campaign using Pathfinder 1st edition.

The primary point of this campaign is to allow players to use the toys they don’t normally get to play with. As a result, in addition to the Start-11 rules, character generation is intentionally extremely generous. Foes will be scaled appropriately, so this isn’t about allowing PCs to more easily defeat foes, but about making it SUPER-easy for a character to qualify for various options players don’t normally manage to add to their PCs.

Here's the quick breakdown of character creation rules for this campaign, which I am naming 'Heroes’ Epoch.'

Ability Scores: These are generated using the Point Buy rules with a massive 40 Points. Also, characters get the normal 1 additional ability core point at 4th and 8th (and will receive one at 12th).

Species: Core rulebook player species only.

Classes: All official Paizo classes, and all Rogue Genius Games options, are available.

Additionally, every character may choose one of the following two options. 1. Be a gestalt character, gestalting with one of the NPC classes. 2: Take an archetype without meeting any of its its prerequisites, and without giving up any of the class features normally swapped out from it.

Skills: All characters receive 2 xtra skill points per skill level.

Feats: Feat progression is 1 feat per character level (rather than 1 feat per odd level)

Options Rules: We will be using the Automatic Bonus Progression rules.
