Following in the footsteps of last week's Horrifically Overpowered Fighter Class Features (which covers why I still do Horrifically Overpowered products and articles, and gives the Horrifically Overpowered Class Feature feat to access these class features), now I present Horrifically Overpowered Bard Class Features.

Paying members of this Patreon also have access to an Index of Horrifically Overpowered Content, which I will update every time a new Horrifically Overpowered products or article goes up.

In case it isn't clear. my plan is to start with all the Core Rulebook classes... only after that will I consider doing Base Classes, Hybrid Classes, Occult Classes, and so on. So if there's something specific you'd like to see after Horrifically Overpowered class features for Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Fighter, Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Sorcerer, and Wizard, let me know!

Horrifically Overpowered Bard Class Features

You access these class features with the Horrifically Overpowered Class Feature feat (see the Fighter article, or Index).

Horrifically Overpowered Bard Class Skills (Horrifically Overpowered): For all bard class skills, you are treated as having a minimum number of ranks in the skill equal to half your bard level. This does not add to any ranks you actually have in those skills.

Horrifically Overpowered Bard Weapon Proficiency (Horrifically Overpowered): When wielding a simple weapon, longsword, rapier, sap, short sword, shortbow, whip, or musical instrument, you can use a hand wielding that item or weapon to complete somatic components for spells on the bard spell list, even if you accessed the spell through some class other than bard.

At the GM's discretion, you may also be able to apply this to some other tool or piece of equipment related to one of your Perform skills.

Horrifically Overpowered Bard Spells (Horrifically Overpowered):   You can create performances that alter the bard spells you cast, turning them into different spells entirely. When you cast a spell from the bard spell list using a 1st-level or higher bard spell slot, you can attempt a Perform check to cast a spell off the bard spell list you do not know. When cast in this way, the spell automatically has somatic and verbal components even if it normally doesn't, (and still has any other requirements, such material components or a focus). Abilities that normally remove the need for somatic or verbal components (including the Silent Spell and Still Spell metamagic feats) do not remove the need to use somatic and verbal components for this ability. The spell must be at least 1 spell level lower than the spell slot you are using. The DC for this Perform check is 15 + triple the spell level of the spell to be cast. On a failed check, the spell is not cast, and the spell slot is lost.

Horrifically Overpowered Bardic Knowledge (Horrifically Overpowered): Whenever you succeed at a Knowledge check to Identify a monster’s abilities and weaknesses, you gain information as if your skill check had been 20 points higher (normally granting you 4 additional pieces of useful knowledge).

Horrifically Overpowered Bardic Performance (Horrifically Overpowered): You can expend rounds of bardic performance to influence a crowd. This allows you to make an Intimidate check, or a Diplomacy check to improve the attitude of NPCs, or a Sense Motive check for a Hunch or to sense enhancement. You can affect a number of creatures equal to your bard level squares (4 NPCs at 2nd level, 9 NPCs at 3rd level, and so on). This takes 1 round per level of bard required to influence that many creatures (expanding a round of bardic performance each round). If your performance is interrupted, you must begin again from the beginning.

Horrifically Overpowered Versatile Performance (Horrifically Overpowered): You add half your bard level to your Perform skill check when you are using Perform in place of any skill you have selected with versatile performance.

Horrifically Overpowered Well Versed (Horrifically Overpowered): You can resist (conic) equal to double your bard level. At bard level 16, you are immune to sonic damage. You can dispel any language-dependent or sonic spell or spell-like ability as a reaction or move action, without expending any spell slot, using a Perform check in place of a caster level check for your dispel check.

Horrifically Overpowered Lore Master (Horrifically Overpowered): You gain additional uses per day of Lore Master equal to your Charisma bonus.

Horrifically Overpowered Jack of All Trades (Horrifically Overpowered): You gain ranks in all Craft and Profession skills equal to half your bard level. You still cannot have more ranks in a skill than your total class level.
