Horrifically Overpowered Class Features for Pathfinder 1e Base Classes - The Cavalier (Patreon)
Content
We began with core classes in the Horrifically Overpowered Fighter Class Features article, which covers why I still do Horrifically Overpowered products and articles, and gives the Horrifically Overpowered Class Feature feat to access these class features. Now, we're on to the base classes, and the Cavalier.
Paying members of this Patreon are still receiving exclusive articles covering the Hybrid classes (in progress), and eventually the Occult Classes. They also get access to the Index of Horrifically Overpowered Content, which I will update every time a new Horrifically Overpowered products or article goes up, be that for Pathfinder 1e, Starfinder 1e, or any other system.
Horrifically Overpowered Cavalier Class Features
You access these class features with the Horrifically Overpowered Class Feature feat (see the Fighter article, or Index).
(Armor? Check. Mount? Check. Banner? Check. Swordlance? Check. Art by Николай Акатов.)
Horrifically Overpowered Cavalier Skills (Horrifically Overpowered): Knowledge (nobility) becomes a class skill for you. Each time you gain a rank of the Cavalier class, you also gain one rank of the Diplomacy, Handle Animal, Knowledge (nobility), and Ride skills. You cannot have more total ranks in a skill than your character level. You gain a bonus to each of these skills equal to your cavalier level. You gain a bonus feat at every off Cavalier class level. This bonus feat must be Skill Focus (Diplomacy, Handle Animal, Knowledge [nobility], or Ride), or a feat that adds a numeric bonus to one of those feats, or a feat that requires one or more ranks of at least one of those skills. You must meet the prerequisites for these bonus feats.
Horrifically Overpowered Cavalier Weapon and Armor Proficiencies (Horrifically Overpowered): When attacking with any simple or martial melee weapon from the back of a charging mount, it deals double damage. If you have Spirited Charge, you deal triple damage from a charging mount with simple and martial melee weapons. These multipliers are all the same as the multipliers of a lance, and thus do not increase the charging damager multiplier of a lance.
While mounted, you can wield a 2-handed weapon with one hand, and decide if you are treating it as a 2-handed or 1-handed weapon for each calculation that impacts, as you prefer.
Horrifically Overpowered Challenge (Horrifically Overpowered): Your mount gains all the benefits of your challenge, even if you aren't mounted. You gain three additional uses of challenge per day. You gain a +5 bonus to attack rolls against the target of your challenge. Challenge also applies to your ranged attacks. You do not take a penalty to AC when using challenge, and gain a +2 bonus to your AC from attacks against the target of your challenge and a +2 bonus to saving throws the target of your challenge forces you to make.
