Vigilance is the Price for me to Live (Patreon)

I'm trying to get scheduled for my first follow-up now that my cancer is in remission. This is a crucial part of my care, and while it's be easier (and cheaper) to skip it, I'm not willing to slack off now when so many people have done so much to help me get through to this point.
So far I've been working on this for an hour. My brain was chemo- and radiation-baked mush when I was supposed to start, and I just did not manage to carefully note how the process is supposed to go. Between that and the health care system being stretched to the limit, my changing insurance every year out of necessity, and financial considerations, there are just a lot of hoops to jump through to get this on the books.
A lot of this time is spent on hold while people figure out who I need t talk to and when I can talk to them. In theory, I could be working on other things while on hold. Practically, I'm so nervous during this time I can't get work done.
I'll get through this. It's just exhausting, especially when I'm trying to hit deadlines.
As always, if you want to offer even more support than being a member of my Patreon (which is already a HUGE help!), you can do so here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-owen-kc-stephens-fight-cancer
