Horrifically Overpowered Class Features for Pathfinder 1e Base Classes - The Samurai (Patreon)
Content
We began with core classes in the Horrifically Overpowered Fighter Class Features article, which covers why I still do Horrifically Overpowered products and articles, and gives the Horrifically Overpowered Class Feature feat to access these class features. We're going through alternate and abse classes, and have reached the Samurai.
Paying members of this Patreon also get access to the Index of Horrifically Overpowered Content, which I will update every time a new Horrifically Overpowered products or article goes up, be that for Pathfinder 1e, Starfinder 1e, or any other system.
Horrifically Overpowered Samurai Class Features
You access these class features with the Horrifically Overpowered Class Feature feat (see the Fighter article, or Index).
(Just waiting for the people to tell me this should all be standard Samurai game rules. Art by warmtail.)
Horrifically Overpowered Samurai Class Skills [Horrifically Overpowered]: Knowledge (history, local, nobility) and Perform (oratory) are class skill for you, allowing you to know your place ins society and history and retell the great epics and create and recite haiku. You gain a bonus rank in each of these skills every time you gain a Samurai level (though you cannot exceed the normal maximum of 1 rank per character level).
You have learned all that a perfect Samurai must know, and have the focus to excel at any of them given the time to properly prepare yourself. With one hour of meditation or ceremony (such as the tea ceremony, or creating an appropriate haiku), you can gain bonus ranks in any Samurai class skill equal to your class level (though you cannot exceed the normal maximum of 1 rank per character level). If you later choose to gain bonus ranks in a new class skill this way, you lose the bonus ranks in one of the class skill you gained bonus ranks in earlier.
Horrifically Overpowered Samurai Class Weapon & Armor Proficiencies [Horrifically Overpowered]: When using a weapon you gained proficiency with through the Samurai class and hitting a foe with DR or hardness you cannot bypass, you ignore an amount of that DR or hardness equal to your Samurai class level. If using such a weapon and you hit the AC of a creature that uses some other method for your attack to not affect them (such as blur, or mirror image, or being ethereal or invisible), you have a chance to hit and damage them as if that method of avoiding you attack did not exist. This chance is equal to 60%, +2% per Samurai level you possess.
Horrifically Overpowered Challenge (Horrifically Overpowered): Your mount gains all the benefits of your challenge, even if you aren't mounted. You gain three additional uses of challenge per day. You gain a +5 bonus to attack rolls against the target of your challenge. Challenge also applies to your ranged attacks. You do not take a penalty to AC when using challenge, and gain a +2 bonus to your AC from attacks against the target of your challenge and a +2 bonus to saving throws the target of your challenge forces you to make.

While using your honorable stand, you are immune to the bull rush, disarm, grapple, reposition, and sunder combat maneuvers. When you make a saving throw while using honorable stand, you can wait to see if the save succeeds or fails before deciding if you wish to use a Resolve to reroll the saving throw.
Horrifically Overpowered Demanding Challenge (Horrifically Overpowered): You are immune to all fear effects. While using your demanding challenge, each round you automatically treat the target as if you had succeeded at a Diplomacy or Intimidate check (your choice) with the Antagonize feat.
Horrifically Overpowered Greater Banner (Horrifically Overpowered): You can wave your banner as a standard action, move action, swift action, or immediate action. An ally can only benefit from each kind of action banner waving once per day. The ability works on all allies able to see your banner.
Horrifically Overpowered True Resolve (Horrifically Overpowered): Using true resolve takes just 2 Resolve. It leaves you at 1 HP, and conscious.
Horrifically Overpowered Last Stand (Horrifically Overpowered): This ability applies to HP damage from any source, though any effect a spell, hazard and so on has other than HP damage affects the Samurai normally.
