Horrifically Overpowered Class Features for Pathfinder 1e - Summoner and Unchained Summoner (Patreon)
Content
If you want more context on this article, check out the Horrifically Overpowered Fighter Class Features article. Paying members of this Patreon also have access to an Index of Horrifically Overpowered Content, which I will update every time a new Horrifically Overpowered products or article goes up.
This article covers both the base and the unchained Summoner classes. As a result, it means I have done all the base and unchained classes. I believe all that's left after this are the antipaladin (which may just look like the Horrifically Overpowered paladin held up to a funhouse mirror) and the vigilante. And then I will have created HO content for Every. Single. Official. Pathfinder. Class.
...
I mean... mostly.
Look, there are two other classes Pathfinder's publisher made, the Omdura, and the Vampire Hunter. Neither was in a traditional hardback, being designed not for the publisher's home campaign, but licensed specific other worlds. They aren't in the official online repository of Pathfinder open game content. But... they ARE classes made by Pathfinder's official publisher. It's pretty easy to figure out what products they are from if you check out the additional OGL Section 15 entries at the end of this article.
So... do you all want to see HO versions of those classes? Let me know!
Horrifically Overpowered Summoner Class Features
You access these class features with the Horrifically Overpowered Class Feature feat (see the Fighter article or Index, both hyperlinked above).
(Even if a horrifically overpowered summoner uses the HO eidolon option to rase their runes, there WILL be signs... art by grandfailure)
Horrifically Overpowered Summoner Class Skills (Horrifically Overpowered): You have all the skill ranks your eidolon has. Your eidolon has all the skill ranks you have. These do not stack -- if you have 7 ranks in a skill and your eidolon has 5 ranks, you both have 7 ranks. This can allow your eidolon to have more ranks in a skill than its HD, if those ranks come from you. If a skill is a class skill for either of you, it's a class skill for both of you. Each time you gain a summoner level, you can reassign all your eidolon's skill ranks (and thus reassign what skill ranks you get from your eidolon).
Horrifically Overpowered Summoner Feats (Horrifically Overpowered): You gain all the feats your eidolon has. Your eidolon gains all the feats you have. Neither you nor your eidolon need to qualify for feats gained from the other, though you and they must possess the appropriate physical form and abilities to use some feats. Neither of you can use a feat gained from the other creature as a prerequisite for your own feats. Each time you gain a summoner level, you can reassign all your eidolon's feats (and thus reassign what feats you get from your eidolon).
Horrifically Overpowered Summoner Weapon and Armor Proficiency (Horrifically Overpowered): You and your eidolon have all the same weapon and armor proficiencies. You can buy armor for your eidolon, which normally has the same cost multiplied as barding, as modified by the size of your eidolon. You have all natural attacks either of you have, and the highest natural armor either of you has. If a magic item, or spell, or spell-like or supernatural ability increases the Armor Class, attack bonus, or weapon damage bonus of you or your eidolon, it gives the same bonus to the other of you. Normal stacking rules apply (for example if you have a +1 deflection bonus to AC and your eidolon has a +2 deflection bonus to AC, you both benefit from a +2 deflection bonus to AC).
Horrifically Overpowered Eidolon (Horrifically Overpowered): You can have a number of eidolons equal to your Charisma bonus, though you can never, under any circumstance, ever, have more than one summoned at a time. (If you are an unchained summoner, each eidolon may be of a different subtype.) If all your eidolons are fully healed and none of them are summoned, the ritual to summon your eidolon is a full-round action, rather than 1 minute. When you summon your eidolon using this ritual, it always has at least 50% of its hit points.
When you or your eidolon are affected by a harmless spell (a spell with 'harmless' on the saving throw or spell resistance line of its stat block), you may choose to have it affect both of you equally. This is true even if the spell normally affects only one creature, or one of you is outside its range or area, or it normally doesn't affect creatures of the type of the one of you gaining it as a result of this ability.
When an eidolon of yours is not summoned, but would receive healing if it was in your space (such as if you were in the area of a channel energy ability), you may choose to allow the ability to heal your eidolon.
As a standard action, you may make the glowing runes on you and your eidolon invisible, though they can then be seen with any ability that sees invisibility. The runes remain invisible until you decide to make them visible (a free action), or you summon the eidolon again.
Horrifically Overpowered Life Link (Horrifically Overpowered): When you expend hit points to prevent your eidolon from taking damage, for every 1 hit point you sacrifice, you prevent 2 points of damage done to the eidolon. Additionally, all the distances to determine if your eidolon maintains its full strength are multiplied by 10.
Horrifically Overpowered Summon Monster (Horrifically Overpowered): You can use summon monster while your eidolon is summoned, or two summon monsters active at once if your eidolon is not summoned. All monsters you summon can understand your spoken or signed instructions as if they understood your language.
Horrifically Overpowered Bond Senses (Horrifically Overpowered): There is no limit to how many rounds per day you can use this ability, and it can also be used to allow your eidolon to use your senses.
Horrifically Overpowered Shield Ally (Horrifically Overpowered): Both you and your eidolon benefit from the bonus to AC and saves. This bonus applies even if the eidolon is grappled, helpless, paralyzed, stunned, or unconscious.
Horrifically Overpowered Maker's Call (Horrifically Overpowered): There is no limit to how many times per day you use this ability. When you use it rather than call your eidolon to you, you can move yourself to be adjacent to your eidolon.
Horrifically Overpowered Transposition (Horrifically Overpowered): You can use this ability as a swift or immediate action.
Horrifically Overpowered Aspect (Horrifically Overpowered): You get 4 evolution points, and they do not come from your eidolon's pool.
Horrifically Overpowered Greater Shield Ally (Horrifically Overpowered): The bonus to AC and saves is 2 higher than normal. If you are adjacent to your eidolon you also gain cover from any attack.
Horrifically Overpowered Life Bond (Horrifically Overpowered): When damage is transferred from you to your eidolon using this ability, every 2 points of damage not dealt to you causes only 1 point of damage to your eidolon.
Horrifically Overpowered Merge Forms (Horrifically Overpowered): There is no limit to how many rounds per day you can use this ability. You can access any of your gear you wish that was merged into the eidolon (though doing so makes it targetable by others as well). If your eidolon is returned to your home plane while you are merged with it, you do not take any damage and are not stunned.
Horrifically Overpowered Greater Aspect (Horrifically Overpowered): You gain 8 more evolution points than you gained with aspect, and none come from your eidolon's pool. You can change what evolutions you have each day when you regain your spells.
Horrifically Overpowered Twin Eidolon (Horrifically Overpowered): There is no limit to how many minutes per day you can use this ability.
