I've been part of Pathfinder First Edition since the beginning. I was an on-staff Pathfinder developer for Paizo. I've been part of the underlying game engine for PF1 since 1999. I've written and developed adventures, setting books, rules expansions, and monsters.

And I am a publisher.

Noting that I can NOT touch Golarion, or any of its characters, gods, and so on:
Is there anything else that if it came out for PF1 it would spark joy, and you'd buy it?

New Classes?

Existing rule or system expansions?

Monsters?

Adventures?

A new setting with familiar themes and flavors?

A book with a bit of ALL of those things?

A stay-true-to-the-PF1-engine revision?

Anything a veteran PF1 creator could make that you'd love to see?

I think my problem is there's already so much 1st edition stuff I want to try I don't really want more. XD

I don't know if it's feasible, but I'd like to see some hybrid classes & archetypes (maybe even alternates) for some of the popular (or interesting) 3rd party classes. There were a bunch of interesting ones early on, many of which never really got much support (a couple of feats, then nothing, in most cases).

Monsters and adventures are aways good in my book!

Paths of the Righteous and Chronicle of Legends are such good PF1e books that I've bought nearly a dozen copies of each and given them out to friends-- while you wouldn't be able to use the golarion deities or setting information as stated, the things those books added are imo the zenith of PF1e design; that includes the blog post for the cut PrC archetypes! An approach to PrC design that doesn't dramatically raise the ceiling (coughLegendaryClassescough) but allows multiple ways to access the material in fashions that may suit the character and not feel like you have to abandon everything-- that's awesome; Starseeker is a shining example of PrC design, while Evangelist absolutely goes too far in that direction. The blog post's two PrC archetypes are neat in premise, though they do lack... breadth; the psychic AT's designer likely forgot that there's almost no access to any rays to get SA, for example (ignoring Psychic bloodline Sorcs, since presumably that flavor wasn't why you were doing AT at all). The divine AA is solid, albeit the deity restriction on it absolutely choking (though powergamers were probably gonna use Erastil anyway for it for his trait...).

I mean, "No thanks, I'm full." is a PERFECTLY reasonable response. :)

I feel like I'm there, too, with a caveat. I don't feel like I need any more rules in a vacuum. A book like The Complete Adventurer or The Dungeoneers Handbook wouldn't interest me. I don't mind rules, but they're not what I'm looking for. I'm much more interested in plot, and if the rules -- new classes or feats or spells -- support the plot, then I'm all for that.

Armiger (Rogue Genius), Witch (4Winds), & Eclipse (Lost Spheres) are of interest (others by the same publishers have potential, too); there's some others in the early stuff I'd like to see, but I'd have to dig through my files to name them (I have an incomplete list of class stuff…).

More Ships and Nautical Stuff! Stormwrack was my favorite DnD 3.5 book and love to see something like that for Pathfinder 1e. In particular I would like to really trick out my ship with Magical Figureheads, Sails, Helms, and the like and perhaps build it out of magical materials.

Staying true to the PF1 revision but with some more tweeks, more use of existing rules and systems, like Mythic for example. If action system is revised more like Starfinder 1ed.

Benjamin Lash

I am ALWAYS in the market for just adventures. Generic or off Golarion that's most likely to get my money, especially with monsters/NPCs included. If you had a vision for an engine revision, I would buy it. I have done a LOT of homebrewing of Starfinder material to PF1, and would happily buy more.

I'm interested in a new setting, always. Also innovative new magic systems. New classes, spells, magic items, and monsters are always good. New books in your Krazy Kragnar or Argonax the Mad series would be great. Books with a bit of everything are great! Basically everything you listed would be appreciated. I'm less interested in pre-written adventures, but I might get some of them anyway. Also the missing 52-in-52 pdfs would be appreciated.

I understand that it is unlikely to happen, but what I would like to see the most is a follow up to the Talented Bestiary. Giving a point cost for some of the abilities done in later bestiaries & converting at least a select number of the monsters from bestiary 2+. Considering how much there is to do at best this would be something that would be years out from being done, if you even felt like trying it. After that I would be interested in seeing updated versions of some of your classes like the Time Thief. Updated to the new power levels shown in the later books & with archtypes to help make them feel like they are a complete option. So you would have stuff like the kineticest archetype for a time thief for example or just some skill unlocks. Maybe even your version of the same basic idea behind a class that someone else made. For example I would love to see your take on Montie Cook's Akashic (A person who reads the akashic record to learn skills/investigate an area). Rituals, especially those that would use all the party members, seem like a good product to come out with. Like haunts rituals seem like they would have a lot of uses in my campaign, but there are only a limited number of them already described. Hopefully enough could be done under different ideas that it could all be assembled in a book that can come in print. (Preferably big enough that the name can fit on the spine). What I am least interested in is seeing another PF1 revision. Not that it's a bad idea, but I have been following & enjoying where Legendary Games is going with that. I would rather see you joining that product than competing with it. Though I understand that would be difficult for you to do right now.

Conversions of some of the new PF2E classes to Pathfinder 1E would be nice. Especially based on what I have seen of the upcoming Necromancer class.

Craig Stephenson

Adventures and a new setting would suit me the best.

I'm pretty much out of the market for d20/OGL games now, but I'm always up to converting a good module to a fantasy adventure game I do play (e.g. Trophy Gold, Mazes, Dungeon World, or Swords of the Serpentine).

Paizo's "unchained" was a good idea, but not so well-done. Monk and Summoner were correct (though monk losing Archetype compatibility sucked). Rogue buffed way too much when it wasn't really needed and encroached on Swashbuckler. And Barbarian was totally unnecessary and really only needed errata to how the rage CON bonus works (temporary hit points) to fix the intended problem. So yeah, a nice set of "Unchained" with a proper designer's eye. Fix Swashbuckler and Shifter, etc. Additional "hybrids" like someone else mentioned. But the real dream? A smooth easily implementable "fix" DR and "just power attack through it".

They are absolutely top-of-list, before I tackle anything like this project. But information gathering doesn't take any time away from workin on 52-in-52.

Purely off the top of my head, I'd like to see some of the following: Make an updated listing for the magic items, and magic item slots and categories, that were used for the 3.5-derived Everquest RPG (which I believe you worked on, Owen). Obviously, those would have to be made IP-free, but there were so many cool ideas there, from standardized magic item slots for legs and earrings, to magic items which directly added to things like hit points, to new bonus types such as "augmentation." I'd love to see some of those resurrected. New planes of existence. These don't have to be long, but a basic overview, their planar traits, what qualities their petitioners have, their Planar Infusion listings, and a table of encounters (and maybe some discussion of what the denizens of that plane are) would be enough to cinch it. Stuff like the Backrooms, the Matrix, or even more outre stuff would be awesome. Categories of magic items based around overlooked types of items. Like, where are the magical cosmetics? You could have a whole thing around different nail paints/polishes, eyeshadow, lipstick, etc. Or magical body piercings. Magical perfumes, etc. Or magical healthcare products, like toothpaste, floss, or vitamins. Ideally in a way that's not just another application of "here's a modest bonus" or "here's a pre-cast spell effect."

Two things I would love to see: a non-Golarion setting and a balanced Mythic rules set that can be applied to past PF 1e APs, including Wrath of the Righteous or another setting and homebrew

Alzrius

While I'm dreaming, I might as well add the following: IP-free versions of Eberron's dragonmarks. The idea of dragonmarks was always very moving, particularly given that there are different types of them (i.e. different thematic abilities, organized into houses), different gradations among each type (i.e. least, lesser, and greater), along with spontaneous uber-powerful dragonmarks (i.e. Siberys dragonmarks), and even "evil" (i.e. aberrant) dragonmarks, which also (in the Dragonmarked sourcebook) turned out to have other gradations. The problem was that balance concerns turned these into fairly boring instances of "here's a spell-like ability you can use once per day," which made them little more than knock-off spellcasters. I'm not sure how to resolve that without throwing balance out the window...maybe they should all be Horrifically Overpowered feats? Also, I'd love to see you finish the normal-powered shifter, Owen!

I always love seeing new classes and system expansions. One of my minor issues with pathfinder is that there are some cool stuff (like the crystallized companion Psicrystal archetype) that aren’t really fleshed out or expanded on
