Okay, this is Lisa Mantchev's fault, NOT my fault.

For Pathfinder First Edition.

The Explode-y Fighter (Fighter Archetype)

(Goblins LOVE training as explode-y fighters! Art by Dominick)

Sometimes called grenadiers, explode-y fighters like to blow things up... and have the expertise to do so.

Skills: The explode-y fighter gains 4 + Int mod skill points per level rather than the normal 2 + Int mod, and adds Disable Device (Dex), Knowledge (arcana) (Int), Knowledge (nature) (Int), Perception (Wis), Sleight of Hand (Dex), Spellcraft (Int), and Use Magic Device (Cha) to their class skills. This modifiesthe fighter's skills.

Bombs (Ex): The explode-y fighter gains bombs, as an alchemist with a class level equal to the explode-y-fighter's level in the fighter class. The explode-y fighter can take a bomb-related alchemist discovery (those discoveries marked with an *) in place of a feat (either a bonus fighter feat or a feat gained through normal level advancement), using their fighter level

This replaces proficiency with any shields (including tower shields), all armor training, all weapon training, and armor mastery. An explode-y fighter can take armor training 1-4 in place of bonus feats beginning at 4th level, and weapon training 1-4 in place of bonus feats beginning at 6th level. In both cases the class features must be taken in order (you must have armor training 1 to take armor training 2, and so on). An explode-y fighter that has armor training 1-4 can take armor mastery in place of a bonus feat at 20th level.

This kind of reminds me of the "archetype packages" that were first introduced in The Genius Guide to Archer Archetypes, and which were (as I recall) the forerunner to the class archetypes that Paizo began using a few months later.
