'Twas the night before Geekmas, and through every fandom

Geeks were sleeping, and snoring, and dreaming with abandon

Their tvs were all tuned to HBO Max

To watch on streaming once Wonder Woman attacks.

Dice towers were silent, with no clacks and no clatters,

Waiting for initiative checks to launch RPG battles.

And out in the Forums, and blog sites and Twitter,

Flame wars all paused, and memes did a-glitter.

As geekdom all shouted with verve and with glee

About the great Geekmas, and how good it would be.

In Klingon, in Elven, Esperanto, and Dothraki,

In syntax quite calm, or puns quite tacky,

To the Zoom calls, to the MMORPGs, to each virtual gathering

Let’s all be safe, have fun, and start blathering.
