Hi all, in my commission process, payment is taken once the model is done. However, this will now change. Due to numerous instances of clients failing to pay their invoices and falling silent once the model is complete, payment will now be taken before I begin work on the model. You will now be required to send your PayPal email alongside the model you send, and once I reach you on the commission list, you will be invoiced. Work will not begin on the model until the invoice has been paid, and if the invoice is not paid within 3 days (unless prior notice was given by yourself, e.g. need extra time before payment can be made), you will be removed from the commission list. Those of you on my commission list will soon receive a message requesting your email information for the future invoice. If you are a returning client and I already have your email, you will not be asked again. Thanks for reading.

I'm terribly sorry you've had clients take advantage of your services, Zep. You do some excellent conversions, and you absolutely deserve to be paid for your work. I hope this change removes some of the stress of your life, and I look forward to your future conversions, friend. =D

good policy, sorry you had to implement that.

Yeah, I feel you, when I started I also was like "payment after work is done", some people pushed me as well to do do such changes.

Did these people think that you would just release the model even after failing to be paid so they could get it for free? Makes me wonder. Why are there such schmucks in the world. Anyways, totally onboard with this. Money up front is always the best and your proven craftsmanship is testament to the final product being of high quality.

Totally understandable policy change zeppers! Damn shame some people were willing to take advantage like that...

Sorry to hear that you've had to do that - yeah, some people are just skeevy. You put a lot of work into these, and you deserve to be properly compensated!

As someone who makes costumes for renaissance festivals I whole heartly agree with you on this. So many artist get burned by people who don't pay for an artist hard work. Sorry you're dealing with this.

Whew, yeah, this is a good call. I'm sorry you've been stiffed so often!!

Thal Fox

Excellent call, and I'm sorry some people have been so awful!

Hi, yes I received payment - if I had not I would not have sent the model over. This post isn’t about you, it’s about those who refused to pay their invoice, thanks

Makes sense. I do the same. I'm more than happy to pay for the work you had done.
