No sorries! You're awesome and these are great. Frankly I only signed up to support your YouTube edits, with no intention of watching all or most of the full reactions. I immediately realized I have to watch both and really only care about seeing the full reaction right away. If it's easier to post these and then the edited YouTube version later for the freeloaders it wouldn't bug me at all, if we could get full reactions sooner and there'd be less time crunch pressure on you, even better. Or not. Do your thing!

i got a good routine right now since editing the full reaction basically lays the ground work for my youtube videos, so it isnt too big of a deal, its just exporting and uploading big files is what kills me :( but thank you for understanding!!!

Cole Crouse

My favorite edit so far. The Master concert had me fucking rollin.

"Into every generation, a Slayer is born", another weird hold-over from the movie. Because the film was a very rough prototype, there are a lot of ideas in it that Joss later realized would limit an ongoing story, and rightly brushed them aside. For example, in the film, Vampires can fly! So it was an easy call to drop that idea right from the pilot - way too much money for a no-budget show. Also, in the film, it made a whole deal about the Slayer being a kind of reincarnation, with the same Slayer and Watcher fighting the same Vampire Prince for centuries. Totally not the case in the show. In this episode we are told that when Buffy dies (for real), that would be the thing that calls the next Slayer. Still, fun to say, "Into every generation..."

Buffy came out one year before the first Harry Potter novel so you can call him "Voldemort" during the first season without copyright claims 😁😁😁

Love the little insights. You are actually stronger than me, the "I'm only 16" always gets me. The annoying one is one of the worse characters of the show... is too hard to comment with no spoilers haha, If you liked the tone on this episode, you'll love the rest of the show. Cheers!

I find it really weird to think about tbh. Harry Potter's birthdate is July 31, 1980, while Buffy's is January 19, 1981. My brain simply cannot process that Harry is older than Buffy.

Out of curiosity, what are your favorite episodes of this season? Obviously you'd put this one and "Angel" pretty high, but I'm wondering how you'd rank them? (Top 5. No need to rank all 12 of them. Lol)

I LOVED seeing your reaction to this finale - when she says she's sixteen years old and doesn't wanna die, oof. It really hits you that when Buffy was called that's because another young girl died, there's a lot of horror in that. As for why she feels stronger after she's resurrected, I definitely think there's a lot of metaphor in Buffy and this season was all about her finally accepting the role of the slayer. She started in Welcome to the Hellmouth by saying she was retired and then she "quit" in this ep but ultimately decides to make the choice to be the slayer and accept the consequences - her full acceptance of her role is what makes her stronger. Also, I seriously love your editing style !!!

This is so good... Mind if I ask, do you edit videos for anything aside from YT?

Xander wasn't mad at Buffy for rejecting him, he was mad at himself for misreading everything. He handled it horribly, but that was who he was mad at. I love your reactions to this show. It's making it new again for me.

He took about a day before getting over it. I don't think he handled his rejection horribly. If anything, he handled it admirably. He correctly spent some time listening to sad music. And got over it. What more can you wish for, really?
