I was gonna just watch it with you but now I am gonna go watch it first.

Aw lol I haven't watched any episodes this season yet but I got spoiled on the outcome so I just went ahead any watched this... wow Even for a lapsed fan, that was rough. That I love You felt like more than friendship to me, idk...

Nebraska

I've never gotten a romantic love vibe between Cas and Dean, but this was definitely a romantic I love you.

Arobin

I stopped watching this show after season 10 but once I heard what happened in this episode ive just been waiting for your reaction to it

Damn, Chuck snapped. I saw the Cas confession on Twitter yesterday and immediately thought of you. I have no emotional connection to Jack, so all his stuff falls flat for me. The Cas speech had me crying though. I've admitted I love guys that did not return the sentiment and I only wish a blackhole of nothingness had opened up swallowed me in the moment

So yeah I watched the episode & cried my head off then I immediately watched your reaction & cried again. I was happy we got a sort of Destial moment. Truth be told I really wanted Cass to kiss Dean to say goodbye instead of just pushing him out of the way. Honestly I just feel kind of numb & heartbroken. I wanted the show to end with a happy ending. Everything just goes on even though we don't get to see it. We know they are out there doing their thing. I just have no clue what they are gonna do.

This episode had the perfect title, Despair. I know you are a huge Cas fan and I understand and love him too, but I am also sad about everyone we lost in this episode, so much death. T_T Castiel's death is the saddest though because I don't think he will be back, but hopefully some of the others might be? Not sure how much hope to have there. Poor Dean, poor Sam, poor Jack they are all very isolated by the end of this one it's so heartbreaking. ;_; Still mad that they made Billie a villian, dunno if that is an unpopular opinion. I actually don't ship Dean and Cas but it's totally fine with me that you do, but with the revelations in this episode make Cas's storyline previously so heartbreaking that he loved Dean for a long time and just held that inside until now when he has to sacrifice himself. :( Wow.

I've only watched that Cas scene yesterday and I'm more annoyed than sad. Talk about bury your gays, amirite SPN? LOL I genuinely don't get how it can be read anything but romantic but then again as I've seen on YT Cas and Dean could be shagging on that map table and some people would still be going "it's platonic, look at those 2 bros just being bffs, no homo!" Eh if that's it for Misha at least I can stop watching. I might watch your reaction at some point but I feel bad for seeing someone in that much distress as i suspect you might be.

DB

Also I've heard Putin news from a Destiel meme on tumblr and if that doesn't sum up the madness of 2020, I don't know what else can lol

Rae

I fell off SPN a few years ago, but I heard the hype about that Destiel moment so I checked out that part of your reaction. I'm in tears...of joy, sadness, and anger, all wrapped up into one. Fitting for the end of 2020 I suppose. Sigh.

Jack lost his powers? More like he has different powers, maybe. When he went to touch the plant....he killed it. Is Jack going to be the new Death? (If yes, but if a retcon because it’s supposed to be the next reaper who dies becomes Death but whatevs.) or some kinda powers from The Empty or that blackhole. Time will tell. As yes, I am keeping the faith that we’re gonna get Dean saying something...hopefully to Cas if he can get rescued from The Empty. Otherwise I will take another prayer or him talking with Sam or Jack. Even if we don’t get anything more from Dean, I am happy that Cas got to make the choice and go out on his own terms and actually had the most wonderful smiles at the end. I just want my dudes happy.

This episode was absolutely brilliant. It made me cry but I LOVED it. Phenomenal writing, directing, and obviously acting. As crazy as it may sound, it actually made me much more hopeful for a happy ending. IF this was Cas's last scene on SPN, then I will be happy. I think it was very fitting for his character and I'll have no issues with it. HOWEVER, if you think Dean Winchester heard all of that and will not fight with everything he has to bring Cas-'I love you'-tiel back, then we haven't been watching the same show. This episode had to make us lose all faith. It had to bring us to the lowest possible point, before they can bring us back up for the season and series finale. This is their breaking point. They have been stripped from everyone they love. Which makes me hopeful that the ending will see a restoration of all (or at least most) of what we just lost. I honestly don't believe that's the end of Cas or even DeanCas.

So... the episode was aptly titled. *sobs* But it was still an excellent episode. Really loved the moment between Jack and Cas at the impala. So sweet. I think it's very interesting that Chuck is snapping everyone away (but supposedly not killing them). Don't know how they'll fix it, but I do think we'll get a reunion between Sam and Eileen. After the hellhounds and all the crap they *rightfully* got from that, I don't think they'll leave everyone dead. Also, that would just be rude to the entire fandom. It seems like Jack's powers have flipped from healing to destroying.... Not sure what that means or entails. Though maybe he can use that against Chuck??? Not sure. I think we might get Adam!Michael next episode! Not sure if he was part of the 'everyone' that got vanished. Think it would be a nice bookend though, to have the Winchester family saving the world.

Didn't know if you heard, but for anyone claiming that speech was platonic, Misha and other cast have specifically said it was romantic. Who would have thought we'd have (admittedly still one-sided) canon Destiel in 2020?

CrookedCat

I haven't watched spn since s 7 but i had to watch was all the fuzz was about (tumblr was blowing up in a very fun way). I didn't watch the whole video but what surprised me a bit was your reaction to Cass "death" since to me it seemed like you thought he wasn't coming back? One of the reasons I stopped watching spn was because nobody stayed dead (except for the good characters, I will always be mad about Bela which was my fave) and everything always went back to status quo. But do you think Cass is gone for real? I also thought I read about people already escaping that mega hell Cass was going to but I'm not sure since I haven't watched the show in so long. I was (or am I guess) still a Cass Dean shipper but I'm honestly maybe more angry IF they make it canon so late, then I might as well not have it at all? I gotta say this show haven't been the best ally so idk, I don't trust them not to make it homophobic anyway.

I thought he was dead for sure bc thats how Misha has been saying it on social media. like he always said this episode is his "final goodbye".. but I guess the reason im so okay with deancas being canon this way is that I feel like it fits. dean never wanted to settle down, he wanted to die with a fight. cas has learned he can't have what he loves, Dean. and I think its rather poetic that in order to save dean, cas must have a moment of happiness by telling dean his true feelings, so he legit dies happy (which I didn't want him to die in a bad way, this is the best we couldve gotten)... so I guess it comes down to the fact that I am a realistic fan now. I wouldve NEVER guessed we would get a scene with cas telling dean his feelings, so for a show that has queer baited us to hell and back and constantly belittled fans for believing in a ship.. this is a HUGE step for this show. its a super small step compared to other shows, but for this one, its a big one to even acknowledge it and confirm online that it was a love confession.

but also after talking to other fans, I think cas may come back in the finale, possibly as a mortal, and could grow old with the boys (there was a set pic with the boys in makeup and they had grey hair)... we shall see haha
