Today, Lu Mingfei's performance was satisfactory.

Moreover, Caesar didn't really expect Lu Mingfei to be of any help to the Student Council. He just wanted it to sound good, boasting an S-class student in the Student Council, something the Lionheart Club lacked.

Conversely, if the Lionheart Club had one and he didn't, Caesar would feel humiliated.

At the Three Gorges Dam, a black helicopter hovered above the sluice gates. On the undulating water, the Moniak yacht flipped over, revealing its belly. When it capsized, the part above the waterline was submerged in the cold river. The helicopter lowered a rope ladder, and a slender shadow descended, backlit against the light, holding a black umbrella against the rain.

Mans, the leader of this dragon-slaying operation, barely lifted his head to glance at the figure, struggling to smile through a wet cigar in his mouth: "Principal."

The baby in his arms was wailing, and aside from that, there was nothing but the relentless storm.

Ange looked somber, noticing that Mans was seriously injured and wouldn't survive.

Mans handed the baby to the Principal, and clutched a rope in his other hand, not letting go even in unconsciousness. He passed the rope to the Principal, who pulled up a submerged copper urn from the water, caressing its intricate patterns and murmuring softly.

"I think I've killed Dragon King Norton. This copper urn was brought out of the Bronze Palace by Ye Sheng and Jiu. I don't know what's inside, but Norton desperately wanted it back. It must be of significant research value."

Mans held on until now, just to pass on this information.

"It's not Dragon King Norton, but a Dragon Servant, a warrior guarding the Dragon King's soul."

Ange knew the real Dragon King wouldn't be defeated so easily. He observed the copper urn, "This is an ossuary or 'egg'. The inscription reads: 'With my bones and blood, I pay tribute to the great His Majesty Nidhogg, the supreme, powerful, and virtuous ruler, governing the world with fate. Inside this is Norton!"

"Goodbye, old friend."

Ange sighed, patting the baby in his arms, who nestled comfortably against him and stopped crying, sweetly falling asleep.

...

The atmosphere in the academy was oppressive all day. Lin Yi stayed in, even ordering takeout for meals. The takeout service at Cassell College was indeed top-notch. Lin Yi sat quietly, reading "Complete Alchemy," lifting his eyes upon hearing a ding from the laptop nearby.

He placed a bookmark, closed the book, and opened the new email, slightly surprised by its content.

Dear Mr. Lin Yi,

I, Caesar Gattuso, the president of the Student Council, formally invite you to attend tonight's dinner and ball at the Amber Pavilion at 18:00. The Student Council will collectively attend to pay respects to the rare S-class student at Cassell College. Additionally, Caesar Gattuso looks forward to a private conversation with you.

Please wear formal attire, Your most sincere friend and enemy, Caesar Gattuso.

"Whether to be clear about being a friend or enemy..." Lin Yi chuckled to himself, "Well, it's boring to be idle."

Lin Yi didn't refuse, as this opportunity allowed him to arrange a meeting with his dance partner, Susie. He had been looking for a reason to ask her out.

As night fell, the Amber Pavilion lit up, its grandeur visible through the large floor-to-ceiling windows. It was a villa with Gothic spires, a roof covered in deep red tiles, and walls adorned with granite from India. The student council members, dressed in black formal attire with white handkerchiefs or deep red roses in their pockets, stood in the hallway to welcome guests.

However, Lin Yi regretted coming when he realized Caesar had not only invited him but also Lu Mingfei and Finger. The two, lacking formal wear, had come to him, forcing Lin Yi to lend them outfits. Even the most expensive suits seemed somewhat ill-fitting on them.

"My goodness! Is Caesar's house big enough for a hundred of us?" Lu Mingfei admired from a distance in the bushes, commenting on the harsh realities of capitalist society.

"Caesar doesn't always live here. He rents this place for student council events. He used to win the rights to use Norton Pavilion every year without paying rent... but now it's yours," said Finger in a black suit. Tall and with a mischievous spirit, his wide shoulders and long arms, coupled with his Germanic grey brows and eyes, and a ponytail made him look quite dashing, standing behind Lu Mingfei like a bodyguard.

"Hey, Brother Lin, do you have a brooch I can borrow?" Finger asked Lin Yi with a raised eyebrow.

Lin Yi rolled his eyes, trying to keep a distance from these two fools.

Outside the Amber Pavilion, photographers snapped photos. The focus was a pickup truck reversing towards the main entrance, covered in a thick tarp. The tarp was dramatically removed by the student council members, revealing a cascade of fresh red roses, creating a stunning contrast against the gloomy evening sky.

This grand gesture was typical of Caesar's flamboyant character.

At the entrance, Lin Yi spotted a young woman, the awaited Susie, dressed in a deep purple suit, a moon-white silk blouse, purple stockings, and custom jewelry with gold and amethyst. Her auburn hair was neatly styled, and she wore ten-centimeter Mary Jane heels.

"You look beautiful today."

"Please, spare me," sighed Susie. As a member of the Lionheart Society, attending a student council party was not usual for her. She felt like everyone was staring at her, possibly even suspecting her of being a spy.

"We're here for an appointment, what's there to fear?" Lin Yi said, offering his right hand to Susie, who took it reluctantly.

Suddenly, Lin Yi heard a clear and strong applause. Turning his head, he saw Caesar in a white suit, his hair shining like gold and a lace scarf with rhinestones around his neck, his lips curved in a slightly stern smile.
