BTTH Chapter 23: Refining on the spot (Patreon)

The auction stage suddenly lit up and under the focus of countless gazes, Ya Fei, who was wearing a red cheongsam, moved with small lotus steps onto the auction stage. The red cheongsam tightly wrapped her body and showed off her plump and full body curve. For a moment, a portion of the people within the area blinked their eyes that were lit with passion.

Those long, thin, beautiful legs were only comparable to those of Xiao Yu.

Just a small smile and several words of ridicule caused the air in the whole auction house to become heated. Little guy like Xiao Ning, under Ya Fei’s vixen-like method, both of his heads might be so heated that he would dazedly bid for useless things.

“Ya Fei is truly grateful to everyone to willingly find some time to attend our Miteer auction house’s seasonal auction.” Ya Fei’s red lips opened slightly and laughed lightly before clapping her jade-like hands and beautiful young girls walked towards the middle of the auction stage while carrying a jade tray, which showed the goods that were going to be auctioned.

Some of these goods were treasures that were obtained by Wutan city’s mercenary groups and the big clans’ hunting team when they hunted demon beasts in the wilderness. Some of them were goods that Miteer auction house obtained from other areas. There were also high 2nd grade pills that were personally refined by master Guni.

Even the foundational-building spiritual liquid that was given by Xiao Yan to Ya Fei previously were also there.

Pills had always been the ones that were full of demands. Even Xiao Yan had bought two pills. 2nd grade fire-attributed pill that can increase the speed of cultivation for fire-attributed cultivation technique. 2nd grade qi recovering pill that can increase the speed of Dou qi recovery. Although the prices were not as expensive as the qi gathering pill, the total price was still several tens of thousands of taels.

“Alright, the next goods to be auctioned will be interesting. This is a precious goods selected from the headquarters. Alchemy furnace with one tripod and three mouths.”

Ya Fei clapped her hands and three burly men got up the stage while holding a green-red colored alchemical furnace that had three mouths.

The moment the furnace was brought to the stage, everyone seemed to be interested.

This was also expected, refining pills requires a good furnace. However, alchemical furnaces could be passed down continuously to the next generation. Furthermore, it was only needed by an alchemist.

Most importantly, the number of alchemists was too small.

“This is an alchemy furnace with one tripod and three mouths. It can be considered a superior grade furnace. Auction price starts from 10,000 taels.”

Even with Ya Fei’s personality, in her heart she was also scolding the shameless group of old men in the headquarters.

This was actually a leftover goods from the auction in the headquarters that was transferred to Wutan city. Speaking more plainly, it was to let Ya Fei cheat people and see which idiot will buy this tool back.

However, no matter how Ya Fei shouted, no one was willing to bid. Although Liu Xi is a 1st grade alchemist, he already had his own furnace and had no need to change it.

Just as Ya Fei was about to announce the unsuccessful auction, a hand was slowly raised. Xiao Yan casually asked: “Ms. Ya Fei, can I check the goods for a while?”

?

Ya Fei’s beautiful eyebrows frowned slightly, at this moment, Ya Fei seemed to feel something unusual in her heart.

“Normally, auctioned goods may not be touched, but since it is a request from Xiao young patriarch, Ya Fei will break the rules this once.” Ya Fei’s words were like spring breeze, it was just right. Neither overly flattering nor offending.

“Check goods?”

“How do you check this alchemy furnace?”

“Hit twice to see whether it cracks or not?”

Liu Xi looked down from above in disdain as he looked at Xiao Yan, who was walking up the stage, and sneered: “Trash, wanting to check for defects and buy it with low price and then resell it for profit. He does not know that alchemists disdain using second hand furnaces.”

Under the continuous sounds of discussion and doubtful eyes, Xiao Yan walked towards the furnace and placed one hand on the flame port.

“This is!?” Master Guni saw Xiao Yan’s movement and his expression immediately changed greatly!

Next second, a dull sound resounded, after a yellow qi passed through the flame port, it suddenly changed into a yellow-colored flame as it continuously rolled and burned inside the furnace. Afterwards, a thread of green-colored wood-attributed Dou qi mixed with the flames, allowing the flame to have a slight greenish color.

!!!!? Ya Fei who was standing by the side showed an expression full of surprise, she knew what Xiao Yan was doing!

“Damn!” Xiao Yu immediately cursed as she ferociously stood up.

Jialie Bi, Aoba Pa, Liu Xi and several people who had seen people refine pills stood up one by one. Their gazes were filled with surprise.

“You, you, you, you are an alchemist?!!” Liu Xi was frightened as he pointed at Xiao Yan, who was at the stage. His tone was incredulous.

How could there be an alchemist in such a remote place!

Even in Jianan Academy, alchemists were rare!

The moment Liu Xi’s words were spoken, even those who had never seen alchemy also understood what Xiao Yan was doing at this moment.

He was refining pill!

This was the way you test goods?!

Xiao Yan flicked his finger, a bud of blood coagulating grass, one qi energizing fruit, two poppy flowers, these three types of ingredients flew into the furnace with speed that was difficult to see with naked eyes. In order to prevent other people from seeing the pill recipe, the ingredients were immediately swallowed by the flames.

Amidst the ferocious flames, several threads of Bone Chilling Flame were hidden. Xiao Yan had refined the 1st grade blood coagulating powder dozens of times and was extremely familiar with it. And with the assistance of Bone Chilling Flame, the speed for refining the pill and the pills’ quality were very high.

In just 30 minutes, a ball of blood coagulating powder paste was kept inside a box. A wave of scents immediately covered the whole auction hall.

No one felt bored in these 30 minutes. This was because everyone knew they were currently witnessing the future of Wutan city!

Xiao Yan laughed lightly and gave the big box full of blood coagulating powder to Ya Fei. He laughed confidently and said: “Please excuse me Miss Ya Fei, I have hindered your work, please get this box of blood coagulating powder as compensation.”

“This furnace is quite good. I will bid 10,000 taels.”

Ya Fei subconsciously received the box, she had forgotten that she needed to announce the sequence of 10,000 taels once, twice, etc. She was stunned.

Xiao Yan could refine pills!

You, kid, knew how to refine pills?!

Was there anything you didn't know?!

Waaa!!! The whole auction house exploded!

“Immediately spread this information out! The young patriarch of the Xiao clan is an alchemist!”

“Jialie clan and Aoba clan are about to be finished!”

Jialie Bi and Aoba Pa fell to their seats in despair. Their whole body was weak.

Xiao Yan was not just a simple alchemist, with his additional identity of: Xiao clan young patriarch. This was a sure-kill!

Even Liu Xi, a 1st grade alchemist, had brought about a bloody storm in Wutan city. However, since he was an outsider, he would not refine pills for free, he would definitely receive a high service fee which caused the price of pills to be very exaggerated.

But! Xiao Yan is the young patriarch of the Xiao clan! Which was to say, when the Xiao clan sold pills, after cutting the price of ingredients, the rest of them were pure profit!

Great profit! An absolutely great profit!

It was impossible for Ao-Jia market’s pills to sell more than Xiao clan’s pills. They had an inherent advantage. Not to mention Xiao Yan’s pill recipe and refinement method were better than Liu Xi.

The moment Xiao Yan refined pills in front of everyone, the whole pill battles had come to an end.

Ya Fei suddenly recalled the contract signed by the two big clans. That was a five-year supply contract. She did not even need to guess to know that the price of the several medicine ingredients would immediately plummet. Their pill sales would be absolutely suppressed by the Xiao clan.

As long as Xiao Yan controls the price of pills in a certain range, Ao-Jia market’s pills would definitely not be sold. Even if they were sold, they would be sold at a loss. They would also not need so much medicinal ingredients.

He has the capital!

To hurt others!

Also, Ya Fei knew that in order for the two big clans to buy more ingredients and prevent the Xiao clan from cutting their supply, they had mortgaged many assets to pay for the deposit funds that had been discussed with the medicine merchants.

“This is also something that he had prepared early!” Ya Fei’s mouth widened slightly as she looked at the eye-catching star-like Xiao Yan and understood everything.

Xiao Yan had intentionally wanted to kill the two big clans and let Wutan city be controlled by the Xiao clan!
