Runaway In Stepford: Chapter 3 (Patreon)

One of the things I've been trying to focus on with this story, and I hope it shows as we go on, is to give each chapter its own unique identity and focus. I don't want chapter 3 to feel the same as chapter 4 or chapter 5 to feel like a retread of chapter 2, so on so forth. I want readers to be able to talk about my work and have their favorite chapters be memorable for a reason. So here we have chapter 3, which I won't spoil here, except to say that I think I did a good job of making it memorable by the end.

I also want to thank my friends who have been beta reading this story for me, as their feedback has been greatly helpful. It's part of why I think this is shaping up to be one of my stronger stories.
