SEUS PTGI E3 is here! For more information on what's new in this version, check this post: https://www.patreon.com/posts/seus-ptgi-update-22356734

If you haven't read the post for the release of SEUS PTGI E1, I highly recommend doing so. https://www.patreon.com/posts/seus-ptgi-e1-is-17814179

This version brings yet more improvements to the filtering stage, adds sunlight with contribution to GI, and a new scheme for achieving infinite bounces (instead of just two bounces).

The HALF_RES_TRACE option has been removed. Let me know if you used this option with PTGI E2 and would like to see it come back.

The requirements for running this shaderpack are as follows:

Minecraft 1.12.2 (no 1.13 support yet)

OptiFine 1.12.2 HD U E2

Options > Video Settings > Details > Alternate Blocks: OFF

Options > Video Settings > Details > Trees: Fancy or Fast (Smart will break lighting)

Options > Video Settings > Quality > Natural Textures: OFF

Options > Video Settings > Shaders > Shadow Quality: 1x

Options > Video Settings > Shaders > Old Lighting : DEFAULT

A resource pack with NO CUSTOM BLOCK MODELS (if there are custom block models in a resource pack being used, it will break lighting)

This shaderpack may work on older Minecraft versions, however compatibility is not guaranteed.

It is recommended that you run this shaderpack at 1080p or lower, since frame rate will drop dramatically as the game resolution increases.

Please provide feedback in the Discord server!

It looks so good. I'm getting a hang when I turn the "Old Lighting" to default. Thoughts?

What resource pack do you guys use?

moony

also can you implement RTX from Nvidia, Please!

Owen Budd

I don't think it quite works like that :P Minecraft is coded in java remember

MeatSafeMurderer

It could be done, just not with shaders. You'd have to completely replace the ancient OpenGL renderer with a DX12 / Vulkan renderer. While technically possible it's a herculean task.

Jonathan Xero

That's what Nova Rendered is supposed to do... eventually. I really don't think those guys will ever finish it.

I get an error shortly before it opens: [Shaders] Error: Invalid program "deferred5"

Clouds seem to broken, as is the water.

I am using 1.16.4 with the latest download and light reflections on stone, and grass are very over powering. is there a setting that I can change to help correct this? water surface and glass is also invisible for me. I am also having a glitch(i think) with coulds. they are broken into chunks and have a non-aligning wave pattern
