Thanks for your inputs so far, I have some more questions to dive a bit further but some can't be handled with a poll.

1. If you had a scene with a male model, would you use one of my models ? If not, can you explain why ?

2. If there was a case where a female character exists from multiple model creators and you had to pick only one, which would you choose ? Please explain your choice in comments without trashing anyone (except me if you want).

3. What would you say are the most annoying things about my models ?

4. Any important feature you consider is lacking ?

5. Do you publish renders with my model ? If yes, you can add a link in the comments or send it in pm, I'll give a follow if I'm on the platform.

I'm not fishing for praise, just wanna understand.

Question 2 - Your models are great and what I care about is mostly clean setup and rig. Mustard's models are amazing, but I feel like they're a lot more resource-heavy compared to yours. Question 5 - I used only your 2B and 9S models for the time being, but here's finished product https://twitter.com/that_maskey/status/1546437418055864320

Going to elaborate on the matter from my perspective, though I'll probably be one of the more annoying ones in this comment field since so much of my work is context dependent. Lots of "maybe" coming up. 1: Maybe, it depends. What I'm actually desperately on the lookout for are medium-quality males of all kinds who aren't so glaringly low-res that they detract from the scene owing to their contrast with the women, but simultaneously aren't so demanding on systems that there can really only be one of them in a scene at a time. While Icedev's male is very popular for instance, and very high quality, it tends to absolutely tank render times for me which severely limits what I can do with him. For someone who does a lot of scenes, or at least used to, with multiple partners involved, I have to toe a line of what I want to make versus what I have time for. More on this in Question 3. 2: Again, it depends. Rigid for instance got some quality models but it's obvious that his main focus is on Cycles as an engine, with many of his older ones eventually falling by the wayside for us Eevee users as Blender updates. His Jill from RE3 Remake has been broken for months in Eevee, for instance. While they tend to be rather friendly to render times, they also tend to be limited in scope comparative to yours, both in terms of clothing (particularly with your outfit library in mind) and capacity for modifications to body, where much functionality has actually been trimmed away over time with each new iteration or model lineup rather than stuff having been added. I do love rigid's models though and I'm really just using him and them as an example here, but my willingness to spend time and effort using models tends to go hand in hand with my view of their potential longevity, both in terms of active support for them as well as my perception of how vulnerable they are to Blender updates, and there you are in my eyes better than most creators. Most of the models I use come from you, rigid, mavixtious and mustard. When I use someone else's model it often chalks up to you guys simply not having the models I need in question. That doesn't mean others are bad and I'm actively trying to avoid them or anything - far from it, there are a lot of talented creators out there - but I just tend to look here first for what I need if that makes sense. Humans are creatures of habit at the end of the day, and it's really nice to have a reliable place where you know you can go, and you know what you'll be getting. 3: I'd like to preface this with the fact that I'm not the most technically savvy when it comes to these matters. I came into this industry from the line of a hobbyist, with zero formal education in the field, and don't know squat about programming and very little of what goes on behind the scenes. I animate, can do some basic rigging, and have gotten decent at sculpting on existing models, and that's pretty much it. Your models tend to be heavy on my system, which I've always chalked up to their fidelity, quality of textures, modifiers etc. To be fair, I'm chugging along on a 1660 Super, so I'm already in deep water when launching Blender, but they generally result in noticeably longer render times compared to most other models by other creators. I have little means of knowing exactly why this is, having opted to simply adapt around it myself instead of feebly trying to look into the soul of the machine, but it's worth noting here as it's one of the potential reasons, regarding Question 2, where I might opt for someone else's model over yours. I run a strict update schedule and I am thus an absolute slave to render times, so even in instances where I like how your models look more, I sometimes have to make sacrifices to meet deadlines. As you might imagine, my poor potato rig strained to maintain the power of your male models (I believe it was the "Male All In One" pack I used at the time) as well as your female models in a singular scene, which is the main reason why you haven't seen much use of your male models from my end. I'm generally not a fan of custom UI elements, but you're not alone in having those. Though in so far as having bones, shape keys etc tied to these being an obstacle, it's often just a simple matter of removing some drivers if I want more freedom as well, so it's not a huge bother. I also really do appreciate the UI when it comes to texture matters, like tan lines, makeup, finger nail length and so on - it significantly cuts down on my work time when I don't have to go into the shading tab to sort these things out manually - not to mention the outfit system just requiring some button presses. Genuinely, there are only two specific things that bother me in terms of functionality, and the first one is having to toggle a specific function in the UI in order to utilize mirror mode (something I don't understand why purely technically, but which I've come to understand is a necessary function from reading what you've written on the matter, so not really a point of contention), and the second is that during renders where characters move a lot between each frame, the location of the elbows and knees of a model don't seem to be able to follow along, retaining their old position even if they are keyframed to a new location between frames. This isn't a huge issue as the distance between each frame during animation is very small so it's not particularly noticeable there, but for things like comics where a character can shift radically between for instance frame 6 and 7, I need to oversee the process one frame at a time, clicking each frame and making sure the knees and elbows snap to their corresponding spot where they were keyframed before giving Blender the go-ahead to render it. Again, this could be my system being slow too, and it hasn't really ruined any of my work, so I haven't made a thing out of it - but now that you're asking, I figured I'd mention it. 4: There's a distinct lack of Shrek models from you. Jokes aside, I can't actually think of anything here. 5: You know me, brother :) Thanks a lot, as always, for your hard work, and sorry for the wall of text.

1. Depends on if I would want to use a specific male character (yes) or just a generic male. For generic male, I've been enjoying RyanReos' spartan (mostly because he's actually hot unlike 1cedev lol) 2. I only do 8K still images in Cycles, and my workstation can handle Mustard models so I prefer to use theirs, simply for the level of fine detail (skin bump maps, vellus hair, etc) 3. Skin subsurf scattering seems kinda borked in Cycles with your shaders, so I usually have to manually fix it. 4. More use of particle hair would be nice, but I know that's easier said than done. 5. Yes! @parad0xx3D on twitter

E!

Lets do some explaining regarding the answers: 1.Generic almost faceless dudes are the way to go, putting an established character can bring in some weird vibes or lore brake a pic for someone. 2. I use mostly your models and Mustards for the moment. They are easy, provide a good middle ground of quality and optimisation for both rendering engines. Rigid's stuff comes up when I am in the mood for some Mass Effect action but if you made Liara or Miranda I would switch in a heartbeat. Also special mention to Archoangel for his Overwatch characters. 3. Don't think there is anything in particular... If I would try to be really REALLY specific... maybe adding shape keys on shirt-like clothes so they can be openend. Oh and some bones for BAS Elizabeth hair :D 4. Im a simple man doing simple pics, with that pose library and clothes library I got everything that I need, cant really think of anything. 5. I do and I don't. Stuff that I get paid for stays in the hands of customers, other things I do for fun lands on some sites and discords here and there. You are doing great work here sir, don't you ever be ashamed of wanting a little praise. Everyone loves a complement (͡ ͡° ͜ つ ͡͡°)

1 - Kind of like Baron Rogacizna, i'm not super found of using male models of characters i know, it just feels a bit weird to me. I don't go for faceless dudes with camera angle that doesn't show faces tho as i like to play around facial expressions and show some personality from them too, but i prefer a simple OC of a young pretty generic dudes. Way to go for me is Icedev's ultimate male. It has a lot of outfits if needed, muscular, pretty simple and i can imagine and show lots of differents personality from him. I still have some stuff i don't like about it tho, but back when i was using SFM the Dean Demasso model was to me the perfect male model, i don't think i have an equivalent in blender. In fact your male models are the absolute opposite of what i like to use. Dads with heavy backstories, really not my kind of porn lol. 2 - It's very close but i'd say mustard. In fact you two are my top of the list model creators. As i said in a previous comment, i really like having lots of outfits options, and mustard happens to not only have a lot of them, but also always have on his characters most of my weak spot outfits lol. Bikinis, slingshot bikinis, swimmsuit, sports clothes, casual clothes and many, many, many more... That being said, there are all classic stuff that you could add to outfit library someday. I may be wrong but you seems more found of classy dresses with heels and stuff, which isn't my cup of tee. Apart from that, if i had to support only 1 of you i'd still choose you over him if i had to choose just because as great as his models are, he only do very popular characters, althrough like everyone i do enjoy DOA and FF models a lot it's nice to have the variety you give. Still waiting for a Loba model from one of you tho lol. 3 - Nothing comes to mind. I tought outfit library was pretty hard to use at first. But i'm a noob and i still managed to get the hang of it, so i guess it's fine. 4 - Everything's fine for me, i do pretty simple stuff so i can't even think of something you could add. 5 - I don't, i consider myself "in training" and i'm not confident enough in what i produce to share it. I also feel like it's a kind of private thing, i dunno for now i wouldn't be comfortable in sharing it.

1.-Yes I love having male characters bc sometimes it feels off when it's a rando instead of someone in the story (even though I just started doing nsfw) 2.-I'd use yours or rigid's, yours for the options (bloody, sweat, wet, colors) and rigids for the face options, mustard is doing great work but the models (even though I love them) still feel like a mustard model (like it used to happen with arho) 3.-The only thing is the texture "finding" I sometimes loose track of what version of the shared textures is needed 4.-It's not essential, since I love the diversity in your models, as I said with ellie from TLOU 1, even just for sfw stuff they are really good, but it'd be nice to have more facial shape keys (I havent checked the last models so if it's added my bad) 5.-yes, when I have free time, but it's almost nothing @GottenJoe on twitter PS. I loved the Ghost renders, you're the reason I opened a patreon

I don't normally comment on stuff because I end up making long winded comments, but thought I'd give it a go. 1. Like most others I use the Icedev male. I think we could definitely do with a competitor generic male that looks good. I'd definitely use it. I agree 'in unverse' is great, but a lot of the time you just need a donor peen and don't want the distraction of the lore etc. It's always nice to have options though! 2. This was a difficult one I ended up choosing Mustard but Rigid gets a close 2nd. Being a mostly Cycles user (EEVEE rewrite when pls Blender?). Mustard's models can be heavy but given I'm mostly a stills person that doesn't bother me too much. The skin shader is something they've really got down in newer models. Same with Rigid, amazing shaders and really well done models, but in Rigid's case they are amazingly light weight. Again cycles user so EEVEE users may disagree on how good they look. 3. Generally the potential incompatibility models can have with versions of Diffeo. I know that's something that's hard to control though. One issue was 2B & 9S IK/FK switching totally breaks with the wrong version of Diffeo installed. I can manually swap, but that's the main thing I've come across. 4. Not sure about this one. I was never great at coming up with ideas until I needed them :/ 5. I do (https://twitter.com/NabesakaRenders) but haven't used one of your models in a little while. I've been obsessed with the RE girls, Lara & Tifa lately, but I really need to go back to 2B I love that android so much. Like I said, probably far too long winded, but hope it helps some.

1. It's a good thing to have a non generic male model for artworks sometimes. It depends on what I plan to do. 2. I like the options a lot that you give in your models and the UI definitely helps. I would choose rigid though, because it's more convinient for me, because I mainly use cycles and I really like the skin details of his models. 3. I personally hate switching the versions of the diffeomorphic Addon. I port a lot of things from DAZ so it's really annoying switching the versions back and forth. 4. I don't know honestly. For me I don't feel like there is an important feature missing. 5. I post artworks with your models on my Twitter for example: https://twitter.com/aajax1337/status/1556727079261159427 But I didn't use them a lot, because I focused a lot on other franchises.
