EDIT: Just so we're clear, it's either no good ending (no), or one good and one bad ending (yes).

Now that everyone had the chance to play the first update for Aya's route, I guess I should give her the same chance that I gave Laura at the beginning of hers. There might still be a few people here who were there at the time, but just to put it in context, at the beginning of A Promise Best Left Unkept, I ran a poll to see if people were interested in a good ending. The good ending did win at the time, though there were a lot fewer people supporting me then than there are now.

I'll reiterate what I said at the time; I personally don't see NTR as being compatible with good endings in general. My perspective has not changed since. Of course, that's just my opinion, and I might find out down the line that I'm wrong. I mean, there are a lot of creators who are much more creative than I am, and there may be a way to make a good ending elevates the NTR, but for now, I don't see it. If I'm ever to play around with good endings to accentuate the NTR, it will probably be in a smaller project.

I won't lie, at the moment, I'm planning Aya's route as a straight line. I'm not bothering with branching the stories in multiple paths like I did with Laura's route. I've still made sure that there were ways in which I could branch it out if I ever want to, or if people really desire more of APBLU. I just feel like there's a diminishing return with people's interest in the story, and we might very well be past it already. Still, adding a choice that branches the story between a good and a bad ending should be relatively easy to implement… I think.

I just want to make sure, also, that people understand what I mean by 'good ending'. There's no way that I'm adding an ending where there's no NTR. There will be NTR no matter what. The question is just whether she gets fully corrupted or not. I think the Clumsy ending is a good example of that.

So yeah, I hope you enjoyed V0.1.0 of her route. There were fewer people who supported me this month… but for now, I won't worry too much.

Did I get it right, that the plan is to only make one ending, not like in APBLU?

I definately see your dilemma here. I loved the setup we got so far. And at the end my thoughts wandered to an Aya going psycho on Harry, breaking him into her own fuck doll, he deserves it. But also one where after time Laura comes back and works with Luca to get her revenge. Since she’s over Harry, have her think about Aya, you want Harry so bad, have him. Basically breaking both Aya and Harry together. Become mindless fucking animals, which all they do is fuck. Whatever you pick I support since you left it open for so many great outcomes. I personally feel the door isn’t closed yet on this story and characters, there’s lots of ways to open more ideas. Especially with Luca and Anya’s criminal backgrounds.

I understand your concerns regarding the compatibility between NTR and good endings. Nevertheless I have to disagree with you on that one, I'll try to convey as why though. First of all, giving a "good ending" doesn't automatically diminish the pain inflicted during the process, and neither has to regarding the corruption, think of some of the works of Mashira Dou or Mashiraga Aki, for example, in those the overall positive outcomes are used to highlight the bitter-sweetness, and are a mixture of regret, sorrow and hope. Yet it only serves to make the previous fall for depravity of the FMC even more regrettable and painful. It's a medium to make contrast of what could have been and what is. And even so, if someone may disagree, I think that adding and expanding, reaching towards more peoples tastes may favorably enrich the work overall. Whilst, not doing so may or may not work in favor.

I voted for no. Edit: Fuck Patreon's shitty interface... ANYway. I voted for No, because I don't particularly care if there's a good ending or not. However, I do care on whether H-Self writes at their best. The good ending in APBLU was the weakest in all of them, Aya variant included. Not because it was a good ending, but because you could tell, in the writing, that H-Self wasn't feeling it when they wrote it. I like it the most when artists do the work that they love to do the most, and I'm always going to support whatever lets their creativity be the most free, without adding unnecessary burden on them. As long as there's lots of dickings and moral degeneration and hot smut. I'll be content.

I think there are many good reasons to vote "no" this time. The game already has many "Goodish" endings, and many of them are Aya versions of the endings. I kinda feel like Aya has received enough goodness already. There is also the fact that the Good Ending of Laura route was the weakest of the endings, at least in my opinion. So while I feel Aya Good End might have more potential because of the less crowded field of endings in her route, the precedent speaks for itself. Now, I feel like the voters getting a choice is fair, and I guess if enough people want the ending it might be good to give it to them.

Like some said above, we had fairly good endings for aya, so it’s more efficient to concentrate on only the bad ending.

If you want and feel confident that two endings (one good and one bad) is possible without a loss in quality on the main genre's content, then I think it's alright. I would prefer to keep the game focused on the bad endings and then as bonus scenes or future updates add the remaining good ending (much like how the Aya versions of Laura's endings were added).

I personally believe that since the amount of people that vote for good ending and bad ending is "pretty" equal, I think that in order to satisfy everyone, it can be a good idea to at least think about making a second ending or a bonus. Since there will be NTR anyway, on top of that you can try making an open good ending where you don't really know if she really is sincere about Harry or if she still is on Lucas. It will also make the game longer which is something cool. But I would support the final decision anyway cause this game is gold no matter what
