Solar Flare Season 1 Points Guide (Patreon)

For anyone rereading or starting Solar Flare, here's a guide to getting the most points throughout Ch1-10 of SF! I include little descriptions as well just in case you wanna know why certain choices are correct, and help you better understand Chase's personality so you can more easily earn points in the future!

CHAPTER 1: 

Total pts available: 25

Choice 1:  Link asks Mae to introduce herself

There isn't any points attached to this one, so feel free to choose whatever!

Choice 2: Kennedy and Chase are fighting

Choosing "step in" will get 5 Chase points, the other option gets none.

Choice 3: The boys are telling the Kennedy story

So, it's kinda clear that the boys dislike Ken, but Chase is not as spiteful. So, here you should pick "Aren't you being harsh?" to get 5 points, as that is what Chase would say. Picking "she sounds terrible" gains none.

Choice 4: The gang is eavesdropping on Chase and Jonas

Chase knows they're listening, but he's annoyed about it so choose "We shouldn't be listening to this..." for 5 points cause at least you tried. The other option gains none.

Choice 5: Chase says Mae must think he's crazy

So, he's kind of in need of cheering up here. You can pick "Not at all" for 5 points, but the best option is "Only a little bit!" will get you 10 points, because Chase finds it funny. The last option gets nothing cause it's just mean hahaha

CHAPTER 2:

Total pts available: 10 

Choice 1: Chase asks if Mae wants to see the eclipse 

He just spent the past several minutes geeking out about it so... "Sounds like fun" gets you 5 points.

Choice 2: You can pick who to find firewood with

This choice has no points attached, just pick whoever you want. But, whoever you go with will tell Mae different stuff, and the other will have a different conversation with Chase. If you go with Link, he'll tell Mae more about how Chase has been down the past few months post breakup. If you pick Reid, he'll talk more about Chase's brothers and his passion for music. And if you leave Link to Chase, he'll be much meaner to him than Reid hahahah

Choice 3-1 (REID PATH): Reid wonders why Mae asked about Jonas

You'll only see this choice if you picked Reid previously. Saying "I was curious" gains 5 points.

Choice 3-2 (LINK PATH): Link suggest Chase is acting like himself because of Mae

You'll only see this choice if you picked to go with Link. Picking "You think so? gains 5 points.

CHAPTER 3:

Total pts available: 10

Choice 1: Chase asks her favorite color

No points here, just pick whatever you want! But in case you're wondering, he'll comment on a few of them. If you pick green, he mentions that's Link's favorite. If you pick yellow, it's Reid's favorite. If you pick blue, that's also Chase's favorite color (so if you wanna match...). There's also an extended joke if you pick black because it's not a color hahaha. Why did I add all this extra shit? I don't know!

Choice 2: He asks her biggest fear

So, again there isn't points attached to this choice, but it will affect future scenes and dialogue. Basically, each of the fears will affect future chapters and have scenarios attached to whatever her worst fear is. (If you're curious, my personal favorite path is Acrophobia, aka fear of heights...)

Choice 3: "You promised you wouldn't laugh"

Flattery will get you everywhere, so choose "It was cute" for 5 points.

Choice 4: Chase asks about Mae's parents divorce

There isn't points with this one, but he'll remember if she lies here. So I'd avoid it. 

Choice 5: Chase asks if she's upset.

So, as a general, Chase doesn't like it when Mae lies or shies away from her feelings. When it's an option, always lean towards honesty. So go with "Maybe a little bit" for 5 points.

CHAPTER 4: 

Total pts available: 10

Choice 1: Chase is sitting at the piano and hesitating

He needs some comfort here so asking "Are you okay?" will get 5 points.

Choice 2: Chase tells her the full story about his ex

So obviously Chase values music over anything, so "Nobody should make you choose" will gain 5 points because he appreciates her understanding his point of view. The other 2 options gain nothing.

CHAPTER 5

Total pts available: 15

Choice 1: Chase is on the ground 

Chase is a funny guy, so any time you get the option to make fun of him in a playful way is the right way to go hahaha. "Tease him more" gets 5 points.

Choice 2: Chase asks what Mae meant by calling him 'so yknow'

Like I said before, honestly is best policy. Also flirting. So "Out with it" will get you 5 points.

Choice 3: Chase asks if they'd be long-term friends

Obviously that's what he wants so be nice to him! "I hope so" gains 5 points.

CHAPTER 6:

Total pts available: 10

Choice 1: Chase is talking to Mae cause he's bored

Teasing him always is the way to go! "Tease him because he deserves it" for 5 points 

Choice 2: Chase says she's always hiding

So again, honesty. Admitting he's right gets 5 points.

CHAPTER 7:

Total pts available: 5

Choice 1: Bran notes that Chase looks upset

A lot of people were mad about this one hahaha. But basically, if you say "He'll be fine" it implies she's being more considerate of his feelings (even if he's being silly). If you pick "Ignore him," it's kind of dismissing him, so you'll actually lose 3 points. So picking the first option is best.

Choice 2: Chase is mad about the Bran thing

Saying "Are you jealous?" will gain 5 points, and he will reference this again in the next chapter. 

CHAPTER 8: 

Total pts available: 5

Choice 1: Bronwyn refers to Chase as Mae's boyfriend

Picking "Don't correct her" will gain 5 points, while picking "Correct her" will lose 2 points, because it was an unnecessary correction and just a jab at Chase lol

CHAPTER 9:

Total pts available: 15

Choice 1: Getting away from Bronwyn

Okay, this is kind of a 'mini-game' of sorts, and each choice changes depending on what you picked previously. The quickest route is picking "Use magic" on the first choice and you'll escape right away.

Choice 2: You've run into Chase

He kinda needs to explain himself here so pick "Let him talk first" for 5 points. The other option, she just starts lecturing him immediately. 

Choice 3: Chase is over apologizing 

Yeah, Chase was an ass but it's clear he feels bad about it so no need to rub it in any further. Picking "Don't be so hard on yourself" gains 5 points.

Choice 4: Chase asks if they're okay

"We're okay" gets 5 points, while "I don't know" will lose 3 points because ouch?! 

CHAPTER 1O:

Total pts available: 5

Choice 1: Chase is staring at Mae bc she's hot lol

"Something on your mind?" gains 5 points

Whew. There ya have it, all the points possible for ch1-10 of SF. This season is the most interactive of all of them hahaha. The maximum points possible by the end of these chapters is 110.
