Opening Act CH1-4 Points Guide (Patreon)

Here's a guide to getting the most points in the first chapters of Opening Act!

For ease of understanding between branches, Q refers to Quinn/Quentin, D refers to Dane/Dawn, Z is Eliza/Ezekiel, J is Jordyn/Jordan.

Note: In this guide, I've only included choices that affect points. Any other choices in these chapters just affect dialogue so you can feel free to pick whatever you want for those. 

CHAPTER 1:

Total points available this chapter: 10

Choice 1: Fletcher rambles about how hot D is

You usually wanna go with the flirtier options whenever possible so... 

Picking "You're not wrong" gains 3 points, or picking "They're cute but I need to focus" gains only 1 point. The third option doesn't gain anything. 

Choice 2: D says this is the most exciting day they've had in months. 

"You and me both" gives 2 points, the other option gives none.

Choice 3: D says you left an impression

Asking "What kind of impression?" gains 2 points. 

Choice 4: D calls stalking a job hazard

"That sounds terrible" gains 3 points.

The maximum points possible after this chapter: 10

CHAPTER 2:

Total points available this chapter: 11 (+1 bonus)

Choice 0: Dressing game

This isn't like an actual choice, but if you pick the yellow outfit you'll match D and gain an extra point. It's just an extra and won't count towards the total but... if in case you want some more free points and to match with your LI ahahaha

Choice 1: J mentions that D is obsessed with their job.

Pick "That's not a bad thing" for 2 points.

Choice 2: Q is talking about D introducing themselves to everyone

Picking "I thought it was nice" gets 1 point, but picking "I thought it was cute" gains 3.

Choice 3: D apologizes for venting 

In general, when D is feeling anxious or trying to vent, they'll be searching for some kind of reassurance, so it's best to pick the more sympathetic responses. 

Pick "I don't mind" for 2 points. Telling them it's weird will lose 1 point.

Choice 4: D says this is the longest interaction they've had in weeks

Picking "I must be special" gains 2 points. 

Choice 5: D asks if you're keeping tabs on them

Pick "Maybe I am..." for 2 points

The maximum points possible after this chapter: 21

CHAPTER 3:

Total points available this chapter: 9

Choice 1: J says you can't date cast-mates

Pick "Why not?" for 1 point.

Choice 2: D noticed Q staring 

Pick "I don't know what you're talking about" for 2 points, calling them a narcissist will lose a point.

Choice 3: D asks how they're getting on working with Z

In general, D values transparency, so if you ever have the option to be honest, pick that.

"Be honest" gains 3 points. Being vague gets no points, and sugar coating (aka lying) will lose a point.

Choice 4: D admits to helping Q get the role

Saying "that was really sweet" will gain 3 points. Saying it was risky gains just 1 point, and saying it was unnecessary loses 1 point.

Choice 5: Z turns down the lunch invitation

SURPRISE! Patrons get the insider scoop; there is a secret points system with Eliza/Ezekiel. It won't greatly affect the ending or anything, but it will determine if you cultivate more of a friendship with them, or remain indifferent towards each other. So, the key to the points with Z is always kindness (I know, even when it's difficult, hahaha). 

The nicest option here is "Are you sure?" so pick that.

It's completely up to you whether you wanna be nice and become friends with them or not, but I personally encourage it.

NOTE: Chapter 4 is on early access until May 30th, so if you didn't unlock early access and don't wanna spoil things, stop reading here! 

CHAPTER 4:

Total points available this chapter:  9

Choice 1: Fletcher asks if Q and D have been flirting

"Maybe..." will give 1 point, "Hopefully" will gain 3 points, and "No!" will subtract 1 point.

Choice 2: D criticizes your dancing

You can pick either "So you were checking me out?" or "Not everyone is gifted like you" for 3 points and flirty banter. 

Choice 3: D says they overheard D's phone call

"So you were spying on me" gets 2 points.

Choice 4: D says it's easier to vent to strangers

I think both of you would prefer to not be strangers anymore so... "Are we really strangers?" gets 2 points, showing them you wanna become friends! (Or, yknow, more...)

The maximum points possible after this chapter: 39
