Hello! I know, it's been ages since I've updated. Partially because I was incredibly busy and also due in part to having complete writer's block even when I did find free time. I'm working through it now, finally. So here's a chunk of a conversation in the upcoming SN chapter, which I hope to have out this week.

Speaking of drama, have you and Sutton talked yet?

MAVERICK

No, and I think she might be avoiding the subject.

BENITO

Seriously? You two ghosted each other for a month, and now that you're back, you won't even talk?

MAVERICK

I think she's happy being here now and doesn't want to ruin things.

BENITO

Would it?

MAVERICK

Not for me, no.

But I was a d*ck, Benny.

I left her stranded in a different state at a manipulative psychopath's wedding on her birthday all without a word.

I wouldn't have blamed her for never wanting to see me again.

BENITO

She loves you.

MAVERICK

Right now I'm just hoping she can actually forgive me.

She kissed me, and she spent the night with me, but I don't know what she might be keeping bottled up.

BENITO

I think the only way to find out is by talking to her.
