A Sentient Mongoose

Jane Austin once wrote "It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife." given changes to gender norms and modern society does this still hold true? James Bond in the books and the pre 2002 films is known to have married, though his wife Tracy tragically died off screen, but in the post 2002 films this marriage is not referenced. Is this a marker of how marrying a respectable woman has "fallen off" so to speak in the eyes of masculinity?

It's occuring to me now that I might be being a total ass about one of your editors, if so I'm really sorry

If you had to do a series of episodes about a TV show, which one/ones would you want to do? What's your favourite dish to make for somebody? With heist season on the horizon, what role would each of you play in an elaborate heist? What would you be stealing?

Prince Jade

Conversely, what form of transport is it most perverse to put a bird (flighted) on?

microbialkitty

What's the most delicious thing you or a partner have cooked recently?

Archie

So I recently watched the Ben Palmer video "A congressman accidentally made me his right hand man", love to see right wing politicians get absolutely dunked on by their own obliviousness. My question for y'all at KJB is "if you could prank a politician, who would you prank and what would you do?"

TheDollHouse

I know you'll probably never cover it in full, but as an outsider to Britain I'm curious what cultural insights you have into Harry Potter. Specifically, how can it purport to encourage individuality and anti-authoritarianism while its author is so conformist and facist?

Kristaps Porzingis

For November: do you genuinely identify as autistic, and are the jokes you tell around it in that pre-coming out schrodinger's confession zone, or just jokes? I am allowed to ask this parasocial question because I am not afraid to play my own autism card to justify bad behavior

AshGarnet

SamP

You often say “just let us make the movie,” which, hard agree. But is there a movie you’ve reviewed which you think is actually really close to being “saved” by a few plot/script changes?

Strike3

you constantly refer to Foxdie (fox die) as "the thing from No Time To Die" so I wanna know, have you played any Metal Gear games and if so which ones? Kojima said he designed Snake as the synthesis of John Rambo and James Bond yet despite this the franchise has a massive leftist and queer fanbase, I wonder what you make of this?

Frontlinecaster

Which eurospy movie would be best remade with the muppets? Same rules as with the bond movie, only one human actor rest of the cast are muppets.

Third Chances

As a 20+ year proponent of Zardoz as a brilliant movie, I have to ask: In a remake, Daniel Craig is the obvious Zed; who plays Consuela, May, Friend, and Arthur?

Robert Innes

Are there any other satirical or semi-satirical bond inspired series you have on the cards such as Kingsman? Or perhaps a brief foray into the mission impossible franchise? Ps. Devon's Devon jacket will live in my head forever as the hardest fit I have ever seen.

IceKeese

Wuppdich

KJB rewiews KJB: What SCUM score will it receive?

Joysweeper

so back at the start you referred to "James Bond Senior", which reminded me of James Bond Junior, Bond's nephew who had an early 90s cartoon. By now I understand why not, each episode may be ~20 minutes long but there are 65 of them. I wish I could recommend a tasting flight of episodes that could collectively be covered by one podcast episode but I never watched this myself and couldn't say. still, could you check out the wikipedia page please? The cast being relatives of regulars, the name of this version of SPECTRE, Goldfinger's daughter's name, the villains and junior Bond girls... I think you could get a little mileage out of it.

Joysweeper

It's terribly disappointing how well Eurospy started out before collapsing into mush. If any one of them got a remake with more modern sensibilities, which would you most be excited for? "Deadlier Than The Male" seems like a shoo-in, but otherwise - That Man In Istanbul? The Great Spy Chase? OSS 117: Panic in Bangkok? Something else? alternately, out of all the Eurospy movies you will not be covering, which ones have the best titles? Mission Bloody Mary, The Spy In Your Eye, Secret Agent Super Dragon, Kiss Kiss Kill Kill... I'm sure the titles are the most fun part of these lol.

Johanna

For each of you individually, what’s the purpose of existence, in two words or less?

Lal

Which Bond film would you most want to turn into a Star Trek holodeck episode? Also: which JB role would be played by which ST character? (You can choose between TNG, DS9, and VOY)

Sylvia Barrow

out of all of the protagonists from season three who do you think would come out on top in a battle royale situation

EliteErin is cool

What would be the funniest drink for James Bond to order?

Terra Obscura

What's your all time favorite contraption (i.e. mechanical or electronic whatsit created by a set designer which in no way resembles a real machine)? I'm very partial to Dr Pretorius's little homunculi jars in Bride of Frankenstein (1935). Alternate question: What classic Hammer Horror monster would you most like to play in a modern adaptation? Alternate Alternate question: Who is the modern Peter Cushing and why?

Carley They/Themsen

Genuinely worst fuck/marry/kill I've ever seen in my life

Saskers

what would be a better hit of dopamine: flying the second plane into the world trade center OR doing heroin for the first time.

Crane Among Celandines

1) If you could have a custom made Bond-style "disguised object" spy gadget, what would yours be? 2) Other than the (now discontinued) GIRTH system, were there any other scoring systems you considered for the podcast, either when you were first starting out or in the Post Bond Era? 3) Jam or cream first?

Carly

wherein the "vault" is passing as an older Scottish woman, and the "loot" is getting to spend more time with your kids, could Mrs Doubtfire fit into heist season?

Its Devon Babeyyy

God I love the DLC. I could talk for hours about the lore but I won't waste Nova and Abis time by doing it on the pod lol. I'm done with exploration so it's just been a boss rush for the last couple of days. It's only Bayle and Radahn left now. I think my favourite weapon is actually the Milady, I've been using the crystal tear that gives you sekiro guard counters and absolutely loving it

Its Devon Babeyyy

To be honest we've sort of fallen off having guests entirely but we're extremely aware that both POC and Transmasc representation on the pod are areas that need improvement

Its Devon Babeyyy

No everything I do is normal and you're right. Also lmao please what mannerisms

Andrew

If the three of you had to stack up and wear a big trenchcoat to get into the cinema, who goes where?

Andrew Dunn

Will you ever do Doc Savage? It's the origin of everything your podcast is about.

Stream RX princess on music apps and stuff

Quoting here “The way you speak is really similar and the way you express anger at things that aren’t too serious….” But if i remember correctly at the time it was mainly the manner of speaking and actually specifically the “*clap* so…..” before making a point lmao

Louise Duke

Marry: Sunak (he'd have to be a widower so all that money) Fuck: Starmer (he's at least vaguely attractive) Kill: our Nige (beat him to death with one of his brogues)

Guillaume THOMAZIE

This one is for Alice: If you ever made your hypothetical broader film studies podcast, which movie would be episode 1?

GentlegearMark

It's the climatic show down at the end of the Eurospy movie staring yourself as the big bad, what kind of boat does it take place on and what causes it to explode? What potential films for heist season are you dreading one of your cohost bringing to the show?/Are there any you won't or don't want to be included that you think the audience might want?

Bea-004

Andrew Dunn

The early James Bond villains in the novels were literally communists. It'd be awesome to see a classic old Bond with Bond being the bad guy

iaguz

Question for Devon: who are your guys in Dota 2? What kind of position you usually play? I figure you as a pos 4/5 kinda dota gamer but perhaps I have a complete misread.

Knathaniel C

As the modern Siskal and Ebert, do you have a curated list of the eurospy/U.N.C.L.E/I guess if there's any Jame Bond you think is worth watching again or with friends for the camp, film history reasons, or just "OK this one rocks"? And then is there a separate list for the queer and/or explicitly exist for egg cracking purposes?

Mira

We all know wich charakter Abby plays in house of the dragon, but who would Devon and November play?

TawnyBee

of all the drops you've collected over the years, which one do you think got criminally underused/forgotten? (I'm totally not asking this because i'm still sad "L, Mister Bond" barely showed up outside the episode it's from)

G M

Question for Devon: With your podcast editing skills, would you be able to edit multiple bad Eurospy movies into one better movie?

Will Cowley

Going Tesco. Anyone want a Meal Deal?

Nah

What's the bad racist or otherwise offensive joke you've seen in a film for the show that you think you personally could do the best job of punching up to be a much better joke but also as racist or otherwise offensive if not moreso? Steph

StepperOfTheLongEarth

I mean, they answered it in a recent episode. The third thing movies love sucking off is themselves! (Movies. The third category is films.)

StepperOfTheLongEarth

Will you ever watch "Looney Toons Back in Action"? It's technically a spy movie. So that does fit a criteria of this podcast.

Luke Tikellis

Burning question and debate with queer friends, does T (hormone) make you more competitive? How has hrt influenced people’s ambition/competitiveness

StepperOfTheLongEarth
