In my safe space ❤️

It seems images no longer download as WEBP. Is this true?

Oh to be in that lad’s spot

The plumpness on the paws here is very nice

Same for me. I think the issue is a Windows problem because Microsoft thought webp would be such a GLORIOUS idea. 🙄 This is what I found online as it's been about 4 years since I've had this issue: If you open your Registry Editor, and look for "image/webp" you can change the Extension from .webp to either .jpeg or .png There are extensions to force Chrome/Chromium to not be stupid, but I'd rather do the Registry method.

WebP is objectively a much better file format than JPG/JPEG and PNG (much smaller file size, but better quality), but for some reason Microsoft and Apple failed to support it for too many years, so now most people just assume it's a bad format.

Now let me get down in between Kayla’s paws 🙏🏻

Yep, images now downloads as normal PNG

It much worse than jpg/png as any container - you can't say that it will be lossy or lossless until close examination or opening in an editor.
