Fresh Content! (Blog) (Patreon)

Yo, how's everyone travelling lately? If you care (which you probably do or you wouldn't be here) shit on my end has been running fairly smoothly and stuff is getting done. At the same time, I'm not killing myself to get it done which is always a bonus! So what has been going on?

Refresh for the Top 10's) I'll be honest, I've hated the Top 10 videos since 2015. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE making them but, they've just always annoyed me. As you can see from the image above, I've refreshed all the branding: New intro, adjusted transitions, overlays and brighter thumbnails. Up until April, I've been using the same Top 10 branding since I started making them in 2015, aside from a change in font (you can see my placeholder text for the intro hasn't changed in 2 years). But the thing I always hated about them is that they were dark and ugly to look at; black and red, what a fucking colour scheme. It reminds me of The Saboteur! But rather than change the theme to pixels (because I feel like that has been done to death) I simply tried to clean up the whole static motif I had going on, I think it looks better at least. Nothing special but it fits with the rest of my channel branding that way. Let me know what you think though, I'm interested to hear feedback. And speaking of Top 10's, I filmed a new one today so be keen for that next week!

As for Everything Else) I'm getting ready for June which = e3 coverage (hopefully, if there is anything I want to talk about) and at the end of the month, Crash! Ignoring those, typically aside from some event coverage of the things related to my channel and having a moan, I tend to keep to myself during this time of year, for my own sanity (N. Sanity hur hur). So during the upcoming weeks, I'll have a Perfect Dark: Zero review which I've begun writing today, much earlier than I normally would. Having some time to fall back on is VERY comforting for once. Along with that, I spent a few hours yesterday doing some Game Testing for the PC, so that's another 2 videos to look forward too, starting at the end of next week! Really keen to edit those, I had a lot of fun fucking about. There is an empty spot after all of this, before Crash so I have no idea what I'll fill that with. Maybe a discussion of some kind, although I don't know what. Depends how busy I get with everything else.

The most important thing to take from this is that things are finally starting to get back to normal with some more regular uploading, a double edged sword that will both help the channel grow quicker but also burn me out faster. Having said that, Game Testing takes zero effort to whip up. I really enjoy making them and there is no scripts or heavy editing so as long as I have some stuff to test, they can keep happening regularly too! With that, thank you for reading and I hope you have a great fucking day. Cheers!
