Hey guys, don't mind me. Just procrastinating from working on next week's review so I figured I'd remember to do this! ;) There is an important Patreon related Poll at the bottom of this post, please take the time to vote as it affects future rewards!

E3) In case it wasn't already obvious, there won't be any videos this week because of the event. Just far too much other stuff to compete with and I don't want things getting lost in the shuffle, we'll return hot next week with this review I'm working on! FINAL CALL FOR PODCAST QUESTIONS!!!: June's Unprofessional Podcast will include somewhat of an E3 recap and discussion. So with that in mind, it's your last chance to drop us a question for the month. Doesn't have to be related I don't really care that much, but if you wanna know anything on our opinions of the event or stuff related, let us know!

Upcoming Projects) Now that the Croc saga is mostly done with, I'll be looking to playing Tony Hawk in the background and stocking up on as much content as possible for the next few months. I'll have a dedicated Outtakes episode AND Making-of episode to the Croc reviews coming up in the next few weeks along with some more simple reviews, hopefully a Top 10 if I can find a topic I like and then some testing. I have the feeling there will be a bit of that in the coming months so if it does seem to take over a little, please be patient as it means I'm working double time in the background on Hawktober. Had offers from a few friends to help with the editing of those videos to buy myself some extra daylight hours when I need. Consistent uploads always comes first, it has to these days.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: I'm sure with you guys being the most dedicated section of the audience haven't had any troubles with this, but please be sure to check the bell icon AND SET IT TO "ALL" so that you don't MISS ANY UPLOADS!

A New Patreon Reward Tier) You may have noticed recently I've been doing more "Making-of" type posts here on Patreon, going in-depth with some of the behind the scenes of each episode before doing a full video on the topic. Now granted, the most recent series review has been quite involved so there has been a lot to share but I think given the fact not every episode gets a Making-of episode, that it would be a good idea to go into things for every review. Even if it's as simple as discussing why I chose to cover a particular game or topic, talk about the challenges making custom logos or explaining my thought process for the scripts a little more in-depth for you guys. Now for so long now, I've wanted a THIRD reward tier as a middle ground, between the $1 and $5 options... so here is what I'm proposing:

$2 per month = Behind the Scenes Tier

+All the rewards of the $1 tier
+Access to Making-of posts here on Patreon
+Early Access to Outtakes and Making-of Episodes
(Also, I am considering removing the "exclusive photos of anything I'm working on" item from the $1 tier as in all honesty, that only happens when I'm doing these kinds of making-of posts on here)

Now I'm certainly open to feedback on this, of course people already signed for Early Access will also unlock these rewards. I'm wondering if Early Access patrons have any issues sharing that privilege FOR BTS CONTENT ONLY!  I'm also curious on everyone's thoughts if that seems like a fair deal as a middle ground reward, between what we already have? And just so that people understand, I'm not asking for anyone to level up on their pledge or anything like that. This Patreon has already been a huge success in my eyes given the stuff we've accomplished since I launched it, I'm just trying to offer more of what people might like to try and help this thing be as successful as it possibly can! So please, I'm very interested in people's feedback so let me know what you think and don't forget to vote on the poll.

At the end of the day, I want everyone to feel satisfied with the rewards they receive which is the reason I'm looking for feedback on this. Thank you so much for reading and I hope you have a great fucking day, cheers guys! :)

Honestly, if I were to pay $2 to get a behind the scene video, I might as well just pay the $5 and get early access as well (which I'm doing). I can't see many people upgrading to $2 for a BTS video. You could use the BTS vieo as a $5 award, but to me in a lot of cases, they are not the most exciting videos. Although you (Square Eyed Jak) do make them hilarious and informative to watch, and I look forward to seeing more. In short, putting BTS video as a Patreon Tier will just put people off giving you money, especially those who pledge a lot. I feel the more content you show them, the more likely they might go "Hey, this guy rocks and I want to support him!". Paying $5 and getting early access and podcast is good enough for me.

Question for podcast: - With Super Smash Bros. Ultimate being an upgrade of the Wii U/3DS version, which games would you like to see get the same treatment? Note: By upgrade I don't mean remastered from the ground (like Crash or Spyro) or taking a game and just making it run on modern hardware (like Sonic Adventure 1 or 2 ports of the GameCube version). More like refining/improving the experience, but giving us content to make the game new but familiar.

When do you think the gaming industry will stop shitting out so many interactive movie, apocalyptic shooter quick time event games? There's just no variety it seems unless you own a Nintendo console.

Ok, just to be perfectly clear, Making-of episodes and Outtakes will not be behind a paywall. The $2 would just be the same early access you guys have limited to those videos, as well as an extra post alongside reviews explaining stuff (including more standard videos that may not be deserving of a full Making-of episode). So in short, the only thing behind a paywall are those shorter BTS posts. But thanks for the feedback, I do appreciate it because it's the kind of thing I need patron feedback on! :)

I quite like the sound of the new tier of Patreon pledging. It definitely means that you will earn more profit to create videos therefore being able to buy more equipment to make them even better than they already are, mate. I can't afford it unfortunately but I'm still getting my money's worth here. Hopefully Croc will rise to the gods next week lol

My bad for not reading it correctly. My view still remains the same, and I still can't see them upgrading to $2 for an early making of videos if they are going to get them for free later on. To me, I get more excited about early access for the actually Square Eyed Jak videos. Providing the making of videos are presented right, they can make just as good / funny content. This may sound like a crazy idea, but perhaps reduce the $5 tier to $3. The way I see it, the cheaper the tier, the more Patrons you would get. I will say take my feedback with a pinch of salt. If I have said something that was silly, that's not the intention, but to provide honest feedback. You don't have to agree with my feedback, is what I'm saying. :)

SquareEyedJak

No i do appreciate it, important to get some argument from both sides of the discussion. Again, not only do they get Early Access to the making-of videos but exclusive making-of posts for every review here on Patreon, like I've been doing lately with Croc. So there is an extra exclusive thing, on top of the Early Access.
