I woke this morning and realized "holy fuck, it's the 1st of August" and now I'm really scared! Seriously, where the hell did these past few months go? Croc felt like it'd never fucking end but it feels like that only ended 2 weeks ago. We've had e3, Crash and an entire 3 part MiDAS saga since!

LAST CALL FOR PODCAST QUESTIONS: Drop us some topics down below you'd like Cal and myself to have a crack at. I'm hoping the podcast will be ready for the end of next week!

Getting Ahead (Yeah Right!) So the past several weeks with MiDAS and Crash were all about getting ahead to gain time, so I could work on Hawktober and nobody would notice. Funny how things work, some of those shovelware episodes took longer to get done than I expected, either due to a lack of suitable filming days or just not having the motivation to edit them. Dragstars was entirely edited in a few hours which was nice but the others were a fucking drag to get through. In the end, all the double work load to get this shit done, I only gained maybe THREE EXTRA DAYS, all of which were spent with my computer in the store being serviced. Now unfortunately, immediately following that, last week was mostly thrown out the window due to life being crazy and this upcoming weekend is also off the tables due to a family funeral and relatives coming home from the other side of the country, so it's not the most fun times. Having to drop everything myself has been challenging though as I'm already running behind schedule.

The bright side is that not having the time (or energy, patience and mindset) to write scripts, I have been enjoying listening to music and building my custom Hawktober intro animations. I've started smashing them out which is good. Despite everything else, I'm still finding a bit of time to work on videos. I've only got 2 more Tony Hawk games to finish (one is being a pain as you need to complete EVERYTHING to unlock the one thing I want to talk about) and earlier this week, I finished my first of the 5 scripts. I'm hoping to have the 2nd and 3rd videos written before the end of this week takes over, so I can write the 4th next week and get back into the swing of things. Episode 5 is a bit different this year but luckily, the pre-production for that is going to be much simpler so I can delay writing that for a bit.

Lack of Videos and What's to come Next) I know I keep repeating myself but once these 4/5 Hawktober videos are written, I can justify writing some new reviews/discussion episodes. I feel pretty set on the two topics I want to cover for August, I might have already mentioned one of them, I can't remember. The goal with these is that the gameplay portion of work will be drastically decreased. I can fall back on my gameplay archives and if I need anything specific, that can be done much quicker than fully replaying a game just for 10 seconds of footage from a certain level. They'll be episodes 97 and 98. Episode 99 is actually a re-review which is also handy. I can produce that video fairly quickly not having to play anything and I feel even though it may not be a major episode in the long run, that'll lead nicely into the Reignited Trilogy for the 100th episode. Followed nicely with a week of skateboarding videos.

I did want to have some testing episode up in the meantime but honestly, any time not working on these main videos is time wasted right now. It sucks because I don't like not having anything going up. Already there is an immediate response in my analytics transforming back into a flat line. It's sad nothing has any longevity anymore but unfortunately, that's what I've got to work with.

Closing Thoughts) The bottom line is, I've got six weeks to fully complete Hawktober 2018 while also getting 3 other videos out. That's the amount of time I had last year in total to get it done without distractions... however this year, I'm writing the videos to better accommodate the tight schedule. Less reviews on location = a much easier time getting them shot. My plan is to pick my shoot days on location along with the co-operating weather and once a video is shot, it'll jump to the top of my list for editing where custom logos and all that stuff will already be done waiting to go. I feel this way, I should be able to work in the normal videos around that so it's:

Hawktober > Normal Video > Hawktober > Normal Video... etc.

THAT'S THE GOAL!

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you have a great fucking day. Cheers guys! LEAVE US SOME PODCAST QUESTIONS BELOW! :D

Which Ratchet & Clank games would you say were superior? The classic games on PS2 or the Future series on PS3?
