22K BABY!!! (Blog) (Patreon)

H-hey everyone, happy hump day! Hump in celebration today for the fact we hit 22,000 subscribers on the channel. Super cool! It's weird thinking about it, we hit 20k on the first day of Hawktober last year. The following week we hit 21k, so this one has been a long time coming. And really, that just goes to show the power of QUALITY daily uploads... but oh well ahaha!

What's Next? (I honestly don't know) So coming up later this week, we'll have a new testing episode. I've been sitting on that for a month at this point so I'm ready to get rid of it. Later today I'll be filming the room/collection tour video with the new shelf ready for next week, which will be followed with another testing episode. Both of those were filmed in late February for fuck sake, so they're in the old room. But that's ok, we'll have some extra uploads and that'll be it for testing until the grand finale.

As far as Reviews, Top 10's or other big projects... I really don't know. I know what I'm working on but for videos in the meantime is where I'm lost. I'd REALLY like to get just a normal review up, something nice and simple, just as a buffer before the next BIG project is uploaded. But what that is or how I'll find the time for it, I have no clue! Hopefully between everything else, i can just pull a random game off the shelf and take a quick look at it, but I'm not sure if that's a bit of a shitty plan or not. Perhaps a Top 10 is a better plan, I'm not sure. Whether I get it figured out or not, we may have a couple weeks in May where I'll have to miss uploads. It's crunch time for filming this 6-Parter, which I've finally bought some new kit for (A quality Lav mic so I can do more on location) but I'm already ready to start working on the super long episode! So we'll see what happens.

Something Extra!) Like I mentioned, I'll have a tour video going up next week. I'm thinking for May, since there is still a bit to do in here, I could do some more of that stuff. But there really isn't THAT much more to do, so who knows what'll happen there. If I have to make the time for some extra Live Streams just to fill the void in May, that's what will happen. Sorry that they sort of dropped off again, I was ready to stream Tony Hawk's Underground 2 but now a week has gone by, so i don't know if we'll get to it on stream or not.

It's the problem with streaming on YouTube, it really shouldn't be done too close to other uploads. So it's restricting. However, I'm not interested in streaming on Twitch because all 22k of my subscribers are on YouTube, so why waste time starting from scratch over there? Both have their positives and negatives for me.

Prep for Hawktober and Other Projects) I mentioned that I recently bought a Lav mic for better audio on location. it's absolutely better than what I've had previously, but I'm yet to do something legit with it yet to properly test it out. I will be using it in the room tour video, because it'll be a nightmare otherwise to get decent audio on a static mic. For this big 2+ hour video I'm ready to begin, which at this point, may not get that long at all. Really depends, it'll still be a much longer episode than normal. For that, I have literally one game left to fully playthrough, which is only an hour or 2 out of my day... but it's just not that good of a game. So once I get that beaten, I'll be ready to start compiling everything so I can start writing the lengthy script.

As for Hawktober stuff, I'm about ready to start getting through all the games on the side. Got the Nintendo DS stuff sorted, aside from one game. I need to get some decent component cables for my PSP so if anyone can suggest some that DON'T have garbage wavy streaks all over the picture, that'd be great! And all that's really left after that is to source an N-Gage from somewhere, and we'll be pretty golden! It's going to be a lot of work but I'm excited. THE ITCH has started to kick in. It was around this time in 2018, I started getting in the mood. Watching skate videos and interviews, re-watching Jackass and Viva La Bam, everything to get in the mood. And that mood cycle has begun again for me the past week.

So I'm keen to get stuck in. As soon as this 6 parter is filmed and the 2+ hour video is in production... we will be back on track with everything! April, May and June just need to slow the fuck down for once!
