Hawktober INTO PRODUCTION!!! (Blog) (Patreon)

Yo gamers, how's it going? This week I'm just going to cover the details of where Tony Hawktober is at production wise and how the channel will be operating for the next several weeks.

What does 2019 Hawktober Look Like?) I honestly can't remember what I've mentioned previously so please excuse me if I'm treading some of the same ground here for a moment. To celebrate 20 years of the series, we'll be looking at just over 20 games in this years special... within 10 different episodes... across 2 full weeks...

it's fucking mental!

Of these 10 episodes, 7 are already fully scripted waiting to be filmed, with episode 8 waiting to be written. Episode 9, I'm still sourcing some stuff I need to play but at this rate, it will be totally under control by the end of next week. As for the final video, the finale of this years special. Day 10 will feature something MUCH different... that is all I will say until the video is up!

The First Day of Filming) Just today, I got down to the skatepark and filmed the first episode which went pretty good. I would have liked to get 2 done but it always takes a little bit to get back into the rhythm each year. Few minor tech difficulties but thankfully, everything is still usable so no problems there. Out of the 10 episodes, maximum of 5 will be at the skatepark (unless something changes) with another in a different location and the remaining 4 on my normal set. The current goal is to try and get all of the on location episodes (minus one that is not written yet) filmed within the next week, hopefully with some extra time to film a few of the home episodes too! That would put the entire thing in great standing for post-production time, which will make those other videos that are slightly behind, have some much needed breathing room. In exactly 30 days, I'll be travelling to Melbourne for PAX Australia and Hawktober begins the day I get back so... it is still going to be tight. But I'm remaining confident!

Hawktober Merch) But before we reach October, later this week I'll be posting an advertisement for the fresh new Tony Hawktober merch, if that's something that interests people. Early Access Patrons get a 10% discount as a new reward for the tier but don't fret, everything is still incredibly affordable. Unlike this Patreon which serves as major funding for the channel. While I will still earn a commission on everything sold, it has NOT been designed as an additional way to earn money. It's more about branding, getting an actual physical product out there for those who are interested. I've tried to keep the cost of everything as low as possible, which is why the 10% discount isn't any higher. Prices are already so low that any greater discount wouldn't be eligible. So yeah, for the sake of transparency, I'd just like to point that out. For a lot of channels, big and small, merch is this big crazy thing and usually a major revenue source but for now at least, I'm not interested in that with what will be launching later this week.

In Regards to Recent Events) I mentioned the previous week that I do like to keep my personal life private, which isn't changing. But because people have been asking about the Ty series, where that is. I'll be posting a brief update video sometime next week, just to inform people as to what's going on. After the CTR episode and this shirt advert on Friday, I don't foresee anymore September content going public on the channel. It's a shame but like I've said before, that's just how it has to be sometimes. Patreon Podcast will still be happening, I'm just capitalizing on the beautiful weather we're getting for Hawktober right now.
