The Great Floods of 2020 (Blog) (Patreon)

I'd say G'day but seriously people, does it EVER fucking end?

--------------------------------------

My New UNDERWATER Apartment) So as usual, I'm behind schedule as I noticed a bunch of strange puddles appearing throughout my new place. Like a couple Sims didn't make it to the bathroom on time. Water creeping UP THROUGH THE FLOOR, soaking the carpet in my closet where ALL MY GAMES AND SYSTEMS are stored... real fun discovery at midnight, let me tell you.

I'm a storyteller, it's not overly extreme. Turns out that mine and a couple of the other rooms in the building, the sliding glass doors/windows may have damaged seals. So when we got a bunch of rain yesterday, it seeped inside and under the flooring. The water only appears through the cracks in tiny little piddles when you walk in certain spots, but still enough to cause alarm. I cleared that closet to high ground and thankfully, nothing was damaged. I also got my PC and systems up off the floor. PS2 case was a little damp but again, no damage. Thankfully it's just a matter of waiting for the floor to dry up and we're getting the seals repaired in the next 24 hours, but the distraction has put me behind. I did have an update/house tour planned for Friday however it's not edited in time, so you can expect that next week.

Video Progress) So yeah, I'm a bit behind with things still. I think the excitement of a new place wore off a little earlier than expected, just because of the nature of my abrupt move. Not really sure what exactly I want to review next, I was thinking some simple 2D Mario games would be a good way just to get back into a work rhythm but I dunno. Lots of things I could do really. So if you see regular testing episodes in the meantime, that's why. I'm also progressing through games ready for the next Every Level Ranked, getting some of the prep work done in-between so that ranking and writing will be a quicker process. ETA on that is still June!

Closing Thoughts) I will leave it there for this week, fingers crossed for a more productive start to May! I've got things to move out of my old place into somewhere else, just so I'm fully moved but otherwise, I'm excited to sit down and film some testing, working on the ELR and get cracking on the next SEJ reviews. BTS Posts for Skylanders Episodes will be available sometime within the next week! So until then, thanks for reading and have a great fucking day. Cheers!
