G'day bandicoots, holy shit, it has been a CRAZY time lately: Tony Hawk remakes, PS5 reveals along with new games from Ratchet AND now Crash Bandicoot too. It's absolutely mental!

-----------------------------------

Crash Bandicoot News) The craziest thing finally happened, we're getting a NEW Crash Bandicoot. So much for my plans to cover the series in 2014 and move away from it, we've had at least one Crash review EVERY YEAR SINCE and that doesn't appear to be changing ahaha 😄
The game looks great and I can't wait to play it, but I find myself in a shit position given the game drops during October which as we know... is already occupied. With Tony Hawk, I had no issues holding on the review until October but now that Crash is coming out, it's absolutely going to interfere with the special. I'm weighing my options right of whether I do Hawktober in September and get it over with OR hold it off. Both have their pros and cons. I'd just like to avoid a situation where I release one and get bombarded with requests for the other.

Updated Schedule of Upcoming Video Releases) So as you know, the recent revisit of Jak and Daxter was uploaded recently. YouTube was being a shithead when it uploaded which was notable affecting the videos performance but thankfully, it's turned around somewhat. Of course, I've also been working on an ELR for Jak and Daxter in the background as well, which was the original reason for even replaying the games. The review was essentially a happy little bonus. As for the ELR, it has taken a lot longer to edit than planned. No reason for that other than my burnout. Last week sucked majorly so I got behind but the good news is that there is only an hour or so of edit time left. But the burnout made me realise something: absolutely no reason these 2 J&D videos need to be released within the same week, which was the original plan.

So instead, I've decided that given I plan to take it easy for a week once this is done just to regroup a bit and spend some time with my mother, I'll be holding onto the ELR for sometime in July. With so much news stuff happening lately getting in the way, that also made the decision a lot easier. GOOD NEWS is that next week, I'll have a game testing episode centered around Spongebob: Battle for Bikini Bottom! I've just recorded the video today and I'll have that available for Early Access over the weekend, to release Friday 3rd of July and the Jak and Daxter ELR to follow the Friday after.
The goal is to buy myself a bit of time to both take a break, get some stress free work done i.e. Hawktober prep, as well as hopefully 🤞 getting something underway for the time in-between now and Hawktober/Crash because honestly... I've got fucking NOTHING planned!

-----------------------------------

Closing Thoughts) Everything is a bit of a mess right now (what's new) and like I mentioned last week, 2020 is without question going to have a lower volume of SEJ episodes compared to other years. Shit just flies by too fast, I can't keep up! But I am glad Game Testing has already been a good substitute with A LOT more to come and hopefully, we can aim for some simpler SEJ episodes to complete the package.

Anyway, thanks for reading and as always, I hope you have a great fucking day. Cheers!

Why dont do one half of the special in September and do the other half if you decide to hold it off?

That is another option, however I'd like the Tony Hawk remake review to feed the other content planned. Plus it's just a lot nicer to avoid jumping back and forth between topics if it can be helped.

Wow so much to take in from this Blog Post lol. I think my first takeawayis simply - damn dude you plan stuff out so far out. Second yaaaayyyy BFBB. Third, just keep doing what you do, it all seems to work out into awesome content.

Haha projects like Hawktober have always required a lot of forward thinking. Usually June is when I begin properly working on it.
