Jak's Holidays) After Hawktober and Crash 4 last year, I tried to take a break in November that didn't really pan out too well. I found it difficult to unwind and enjoy my free time so while I was able to get some content up in December, I was still very much in 'zone out chill mode' and allowed it to remain as long as possible, for a total cleanse and I think... I'm finally feeling pretty good about things!

Leading up to Christmas I was able to sit down and play through some more games. Revisited GTA: San Andreas once again, this time in a modded Steam version and gotta say, best playthrough possibly since I first played it as a kid. Had so much fun. That's such a time sink though that I've struggled to move onto anything else really. 😅 I slipped into yet another phase of Cities Skylines depression where I didn't do a whole lot. Christmas was quiet as fuck and I gladly spent it alone, ignoring the one half assed invite I received and instead, spent the day cooking a tasty feed and exploring the barren wasteland of my city with the dog. Great fucking Christmas!

Then for New Years, I got to hang out with a friend and just take things super chill. A couple day trips around the place and a few quiet ones inside playing Crash 4, Nitro Fueled and Spyro Reignited. Perfect start to the year!

The Fun is OVER!) Now that I've had some time, I need to start getting back into a work routine again. January is always kinda slow so please bare with me. I've got absolutely no idea what I'm covering on the channel next but I'm keen to sit down and explore some games. Keen to just with a standalone review of something again. I had absolutely excellent inspiration on a more word vomit-y essay type video late last year, the bulk of writing was done in 30 minutes into a Text document and I got 5 god damn pages out of it. So I'm hopefully going to flesh that out and perfect it some more as the video topic is something I've had on my mind since like... 2016 I think. And it's something I've never been able to express until recently.
I'm also going to try and FORCE myself to start getting through games for the next Every Level Ranked! I really wanted these games played by now but I've been incredibly hesitant. We'll get there though, don't worry. But my main goal right is just trying to find what I'm in the mood for and just talk about it, while also keeping that work vs. fun balance.
