Legend of Spyro is Killing Me! (Patreon)

I'm not even kidding when I say that, these games of drained me of everything I require to get these videos done. Don't fret though, I'm finally in the editing stage for this video and then I get to take a break and play some games!

Spyro Troubles) So I've encountered a lot of issues while trying to get this final video done. The biggest has to be the fact that I've been really sick for the entire time I've been working on it, making it hard to get stuck in and want to do stuff. That's finally passing at this point but recording on screen stuff and the voice over I've just done, they sound kind of funky to me. I can't tell if it's because I'm still unwell or if it's because I've been hating everything I do lately thanks to the writer's block and other psychiatric things that can get in your head sometimes. It also doesn't help that all of my equipment is temperamental as fuck!

Everything Likes to Break) My microphone boom arm thing has been broken for some time. You might remember my collection update a few months back where it broke mid-video and I had to hold the mic. Well it was lasting fine but broke the day before I needed to shoot this next review. I literally had to use masking tape and strap the thing to my tripod to shoot. That was fine but to do my voice over, I needed something much more compact. So I spent about 45 minutes using a file to file down the top of a bolt to fit into a desk clamp, so that I could attach my shock mount and mic to it to record. It worked perfectly so I finally had a win for the first time working on these videos! While I'm having some time away from making videos, I'll be hopefully upgrading all of my stuff: New mics, a camera, mic stands and whatever else. That should chew into my savings nicely... :P

Other News) Nothing else exciting or dramatic has been going on lately. I told myself that I'm going to make an effort from now on to play more games in my spare time. I don't play enough in my opinion and when I do, it's normally for a video. It's just not the same because I see that as work. I finally got around to playing Uncharted 2 recently, I have a few interesting opinions on it that I want to explore in a video or two down the line. Uncharted 3 is on my hit-list next to The Last of Us and some other games. I've been in the mood for simulation/tycoon games lately too, I just got 4 Tropico games on Steam pretty cheap as they were on sale. I fucking love Tropico!
