10,000 and What it Means! (BLOG) (Patreon)

CONGLATURATIONS! We hit 10,000 subscribers on YouTube this week and all I can really do is thank everyone, it's been really crazy. So that you know, within 23 hours of me writing this the 10K Special Review will be up on the channel, which I want to talk about here shortly. I'll also quickly mention that Live Streams will be restarting this weekend and we'll be playing Sheep Raider! (Sheep, Dog 'N Wolf for PAL).

I had to get some footage from this game for the recent Top 10 video  and all I've wanted to do since then is replay it! Here are some dates and times for when streams will begin:
Australia: 9am, Sunday 5th Feb
American EST: 5pm Saturday 4th
United Kingdom: 10pm Saturday 4th

10,000...) As you guys may remember, I posted a Vlog on here recently  explaining that I was going to be "Putting the channel on the edge of a tall building... and hoping it doesn't fall off." This was a last effort to stick with the plan I'd made to start the year back in December. The short story is that I had 10 different plans to start the year (some better than others) and it got the point of madness, as it was distracting me from working on videos at the time. So, I just had to pick one and go with it. At the time, the channel was growing VERY quickly and based on that, I was going to hit the milestone around the 10th of January BUT, if I hit it a week later than that, I didn't care. 

The problem with going all in on that plan is that, it obviously didn't happen. So then I had a video finished for a milestone... that I wasn't going to hit. To give myself an extra week to get an 'A' level video out, I stalled and put up a trailer I'd originally made for the 10k video which kind of confused a lot of people and to everyone's credit, a lot of viewers called me on a poor decision. So I would just like to apologise for that and the only way I can make up for it, is making February a fucking stellar month!

...What it Means) SO, tomorrow you'll get seeing that video and it's funny: When I started working on the video, I was super excited about the milestone. But as time went on and things didn't work out, I started to hate the idea of hitting 10,000 but honestly, waking up Tuesday morning and watching the live sub count really shook me. I wasn't expecting it to hit me that hard but it did and in doing so, it got me excited about making videos again! It was really cool. The original plan for this week was:
Tuesday - Shorty
Friday - Wii Testing Part 1

However, I've obviously moved some things around. So next Tuesday, you'll get the Shorty and Wii Testing Part 2 later in the week. The reason I didn't put the milestone video up when I hit 10k (on the exact second I hit 5 digits... seems a bit odd), is because it was pretty clear someone had a few alternate accounts set up to subscribe, so that they could unsubscribe once the video was up. It's a thing people do and I wasn't going to put the video up only to drop in numbers. YouTube can be pretty annoying sometimes.

So What Now?) Well I haven't had a whole lot on my to-do list this week, which has been good. I managed to get a few weeks ahead with everything that went on and while I've still been working on videos, I haven't had to turn the camera on and SHOOT anything which... is honestly always a good thing. Relax the schedule so I'm not "performing" every day. I spent all of yesterday playing games, capturing gameplay for both an upcoming Top 10 and Review so that was fun (aside from the final boss. Seriously, I'm so disappointed in the developers)! And as for the rest of this week and weekend, I'll be working on review scripts and editing the 3rd and final Wii Testing video to go up later this month.
