This reindeer was so much fun to paint and I hope you all enjoy painting it too! I've written all of the supplies that I used below, and all of the paint colours that you'll need 🎨

Materials:

  • Liquitex acrylic paints - titanium white, prussian blue, light blue permanent, red oxide, mars black, medium yellow, yellow oxide, orange, yellow light

  • Brushes - large wide flat (background), large pointed (fur texture), medium filbert (horns and first layer), small filbert or small pointed (eyes), slanted (fur details), fan (splatters)
    - Don't worry if you don't have all of these, these are just the ones that I used :)

  • Sponge - for blending the background and for the glow of the lights

  • Canvas - I used a square 12" x 12" canvas panel

This is the first time I have uploaded the video directly to Patreon, so if there's any problems at all just let me know!

Beautifully done 🥰

I would like to start this one . Is there a particular reason you didn’t do the whole background before sketching him in ? Will it affect the vibrancy ?

Yay I hope you enjoy painting this one! I usually paint around the sketch because it does help to keep the colours really bright when painting them straight onto white. Especially if it’s a dark background like this one, and some colours like yellow and orange can be quite transparent so it helps when painting these too. Hope this helps 🥰
