Hey Patrons, here's our exclusive follow-up/digression to Episode 16 on The Wrong Guy. On this Sidetracks, we chat about Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy, Siskel & Ebert's division on the film, as well as the struggles of actors paying alimony, and the disappearance of Brendan Fraser.

We also talk about what to expect on some future episodes & movies we'd love to cover someday. Keep the suggestions coming! Should we really watch Welcome to Marwen for a bonus episode following our Used Cars discussion? Let us know!

Thanks, as always, for your support!

Here's a fun fact about a lot of the background cars in Used Cars, the majority of them were from people who were in Phoenix at the time, basically, the crew gave them 20 bucks to be in the film, I'm pretty sure those two dopes in the Mustang were just two dopes in Phoenix were them

Would Mars Needs Moms count for the Zemeckis sidetrack? I mean it was a flop and there was a lost cut where Seth Green plays the kid

This makes me want to re-watch Brain Candy. I saw it for the first time in the last year and the bit with Tom Jones’ Kiss still makes me laugh. Speeaaaking of Kiss, if you ever wanted to talk about Under the Cherry Moon it would make this Minnesotan very pleased. 🙃😉 (Not sure how much it fits the Pod…)

Joe sounds a lot like Cecil from GoodBadFlicks to me, must be because you’re both from the Philadelphia area.

Brett Lawrence

For a Zemeckis-related Sidetracks, would you guys consider Death Becomes Her? Although I would already consider it a cult flick, I feel like it’s not talked about enough. Plus, 2022 marks 30 years for this gem of a film. Also, Isabella Rossellini (a Lynch favorite) steals the show in her scenes.

I remember seeing Brain Candy when it was originally released. Not sure if it was on cable or a rental but I enjoyed it though don't remember much about it. Would love to see it get a decent DVD release. I don't think I ever heard of The Wrong Guy, but based on the show I've ordered it and can't wait to watch it. I think I first saw Dave Higgins on Comedy Central in the Higgins Boys and Gruber. And was excited to see him in Malcom in the Middle. Anything he's in is better.

Thank you so much for mentioning it being uploaded to YT; I just watched it and it was AMAZING. I love KitH but hadn't been able to see the movie until now. It was even better than I was hoping for!
