Hey everyone, thanks for bearing with us in the delay on this episode. It was a huge undertaking to watch and talk about these two movies. We surprisingly had a lot to say on them both, including dissecting the films of the cast and crew that preceded and followed these two movies. Beyond that, we really dive into the logic and philosophy behind the comedy in the Problem Child movies and why they resonated with so many 90's kids. We kinda descend into madness towards the end of the episode, as 3 hours of discussing Problem Child would do to anyone, but we still had a lot of fun rewatching these.

This is by far our longest episode as teased in the previous post. We spend around an hour and a half discussing each movie. The Problem Child 2 discussion starts at 1:38:15. We still have two bonus chats coming exclusively for you, one on Brain Donors and another on Screwed.

Anyway, we hope you enjoy this double feature! As you're the first to hear it, we'd love to know your thoughts and feedback!

Welp time to ruin your dreams of the Jeep from the 60s being sold in the 90s, see turns out you two aren't the only the only Millenials who have nostalgia for these Liberal Chevy Suburbans and their value shot up to stupid amounts in the past 10 years where now you will be hard-pressed to find one for under 25K, and they are not worth that, granted very few used Jeeps, especially from this time period should be worth that

Also the Mercedes in 2, yeah that is stock, that was just how Red it was

Great job guys. This has been the best podcast yet. I would love to hear a podcast episode about The Flintstones, as well as a bonus episode about Viva Rock Vegas.

Eli Griffith

Excellent episode. Please do more longer form discussions like this. Once a month isn't enough for me haha 😅

We're going to start doing more content like this!

Great episode, will check these out because of the Tom and Jerry comparison. Also I have a question, what cartoons do you guys really like?

Sidetracks

Aside from The Simpsons, I grew up on a steady diet of 90’s Cartoon Network. Dexter’s Lab, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Johnny Bravo were my favs. I also loved the classics like Merry Melodies and Tom & Jerry

Luke Gordnier

I love Tom and jerry the way you love the three stooges

Weirdproq

I would love for you guys to talk about the two live action Flintstones movies. I've watched both when I was younger. I believe the first movie holds up. Not sure about the second one.

I've watched Camp Nowhere some years ago, and I liked it. I think it's a good movie. Probably a good pick for this podcast.

What an incredible trip down memory lane! I don’t think I realized how many times I’ve seen these movies until I listened to this episode. So many of the discussed scenes were vividly relived as I was listening. Also, I really liked the double-feature concept. I know you guys at one point mentioned possibly Weekend at Bernie’s I & II for a discussion—that would be great. How about also Fletch & Fletch Lives, Critters 1 & 2, or Short Circuit 1 & 2? Looking forward to the discussion on Screwed. Two short years after Dirty Work and Half Baked (plus DeVito!), Screwed is highly underrated. I’m surprised it’s not more well-known. Nice work again, gents!

I'm older than you guys so I've aways had a take it or leave it attitude toward these movies but you held my interest for over an hour and a half so that's definitely a plus for you. Ryan mentioned Peter Bogdanovich's movies early on. You should definitely check out Paper Moon and What's Up Doc at the very least -- 2 classics !One more point on a technical aspect -- can you do anything to boost your volume? I jack it all the way up and still have to listen in a quiet setting.

Samuel Moszynski

Great episode guys! Looking forward to hearing you discuss Westerns on the next one.

Luke Gordnier

The next kids movie you guys should do is Dennis The Menace (1993). Very influenced by problem child.
