Shit Bugsy Siegel, like the most overrated figure in Las Vegas history is Jewish, and while yes there is a movie based on him, but it's terrible and basically fiction in a lot of ways, also insulting to Vegas Historians, and it's terrible

Speaking of Keith David, there is another film, it's from your favorite year in film 1990, directed and co starring Emilio Estevez, also starring his brother Charlie, it's called Men at Work and Keith David is basically the best part of the film, he plays a 'Nam vet who has a few screws loose and every line he has is quoteable

Well here's a suggestion I have, Kevin Hook's 1998 film Black Dog, and I suggest this because honestly it is the last of those cheap Car Chase B Movies of the 1970s, you know films like Dirty Mary Crazy Larry, Race With The Devil, everything H.B. Halicki made, and even Smokey and the Bandit. Now sure we still have car chase films today, but they're always going to use high price cars they don't want to get dirty, and they want to get these stupid up close shots that never look good, Black Dog is humble with it's cars with them being 10+ year old American cars and 18 Wheelers, and it's shots, you can tell the camera is on a field, and honestly I find this movie's chases to be way more interesting than Mad Max Fury Road because of those reasons, (That's another rant for another day though)

To go with the Yojimbo and A Fist Full of Dollars thing: Yes, Leone ripped off Kurosawa but Kurosawa ripped off Dashiel Hammett and gave him no credit. Yojimbo is just the novel Red Harvest. It was based largely on real tactics the Pinkerton Agency would do when they were called into a town to restore order, Hammett was a Pinkerton in his youth. A loose adaptation of the novel was the Bruce Willis starring and Walter Hill directed movie Last Man Standing from 1996. It is called another remake of Yojimbo but I think it’s more an adaptation of Red Harvest.

I’m pretty sure Kurosawa tried to pull the same dumb argument as Leone too. “Oh, Red Harvest? Hmm, I maybe read it, I think? Few pages maybe? Not quite sure oh well (shrug).” Lol like an oral tradition of passing down a story, artistic thievery has its merits.
