Hey everyone! Here's early access to our new episode on 1997's Fierce Creatures! It was pretty hard to talk about this one without discussing A Fish Called Wanda so this episode is a little bit of a double-feature.

Stay tuned for our Patreon follow-up episode and our August movie catch-up. Thanks for your support! Let us know what you thought below.

All I remember about this movie is the trailers and both John Cleese and Michael Palin appearing on SNL to promote it (the host that night was Kevin Spacey, lol), and they did the parrot sketch verbatim which barely elicited a chuckle from the audience. So awkward, but I remember their opening bit on the newly adopted TV ratings system being funny.

Now depending on the length and/or you class, that going bald but growing it out haircut is known as a Skullet, and I for now on will refer anyone who had that haircut in the 1990s as a Skullet

That monkey mansion movie you were talking about joe was called Buddy and it was one of the three movies that Jim Henson pictures made the other two being Muppets in space and the adventures of Elmo in Grouchland.

It was also directed by Caroline Thompson who wrote nightmare before Christmas and the Adams family movie. She also directed a movie I really like call Black Beauty.

It was also co produced by American zoetrope and also features Paul Ruben’s in it

And on the subject of test screenings that made a movie better. I found Shawshank redemption, GoodFellas and Ryan’s favorite Renny Harlin film The Long Kiss Goodnight

Now here's the thing about Test Screenings that were right, no one wants to say the bad guy was right, the studios have to be wrong and the filmmakers have to be right, so it's kinda hard to find out what films were like that, the filmmakers don't want to say it, it makes them seem like they didn't know what they were doing, film people don't want to either because it means the bad guy was right

Interesting! I’ll have to go watch it

I reviewed Buddy for my show, it was a fun flick to do because of how insane the real life premise is.

This will be among the stupidest things you have ever read: I haven’t seen either of these movies but my brain conflates them - Fish Called Wanda and Drowning Mona
