Is one of bonus things a Patreon episode on An American Carol?

Saw Joe’s letterboxd and figured it had to be or else why would he watch it.

Hi Ryan quick question recently watched Rolling Thunder and Hardcore from cinema speculation review loved them both and was curious if you could do a podcast about those old Pulp hero films (The Shadow, Flash Gordon) or possibly a discussion about Star Wars 1977 and Batman Mask Of The Phantasm and how those two franchises in particular have gotten rotten and disgusting to where I can’t even enjoy Batman, Joker, Vader in films anymore

Five minutes in and my sweetie goes ‘this makes me want to watch the movie again!’ We watched Cabin Boy for the first time last night - neither of us had heard of it before the pod so thank you :) it was a good time! (Weird take (deep cut?) but The Nostalgia Critic’s persona owes a lot to Chris Elliott’s performance in the first act.)

Definetly will be covering The Shadow at some point

Awesome I really like the character read one or two of the pulp novels, watched most of the 1940 serial, read a few comics with him mainly because everything the shadow is was just stolen to make Batman especially now when Batman has to be so dark and gritty so much so that Walter B Gibson flat out called Batman “a clowned up version of the shadow” also another character I discovered was Mack Bolan Executioner debuted in 1968 who is a Vietnam Vet who’s family is killed due to mob related actions, police don’t do anything he takes it upon himself to wage a one man war on The Mafia does that sound like a certain skull chested vigilante from comic book ;)

Michael Sgambati

Which is ironic because when the shadow came out 94 people said it’s just a Batman ripoff when in reality Batman is a ripoff of the shadow also what’s the episode where you talk about Penelope Ann miller and Carlitos way “Charlie don’t sell drugs Charlie”

Guys, I know the superhero movies are not your scene. But the script for the Flash was so terrible…..to me it’s a so bad it’s good movie. I’m not even kidding. If even one of you would consider watching it I’d love to hear if you agree

Sidetracks

I (Joe) will definitely check it out at some point. Probably when it hits Max

It was William Shatner in Rescue 911. I used to watch that show religiously.
