While drunk at a club, you decide to call Tristan for a chat. He knows you well enough to realise something's wrong, and he comes to your side as usual… But you feel some way about it.

Tristan is back for another episode! I like that he's so easy to write for compared to other series I'm currently tackling; he's certainly a welcome change to my typical roster. And the runtime is less than 20 minutes?! How ludicrous! XD

After his pilot episode, I knew that I wanted to continue his story as this is a popular trope I have yet to really dive into. The potential conflicts are endless, so I hope you're looking forward to the journey!

I thought the second hand embarrassment that I feel from listening to Nira chewing out the Earis on the 2nd episode of the Noble Trials was hard to listen to.. But this is on a whole other level of cringe and embarrassment.. We’re pretty much the kind of person that Alex’s listener was afraid of 😅. And rn, I feel like Alex is starting to look better than Tristan 🤣🤣. Somebody plz fight me on this🤣. Change my mind 😂. Alex rn is looking a lot better than Tristan. (The switch up is crazy 🤣🤣🤣)

I get one can feel more in a relationship than the other partner. I understand that people can be in relationships where they are together to just be together, even if they don’t realize it. I just always hope two people can be self aware and mature enough to have a healthy conversation about each other even if it’s not easy. But man… is there a big ol red mark on my forehead from how hard I face palmed at the end. Because that’s something no one can explain easily or even take back. At least it seems like Tristan pulled back and away at the end(?) I feel like this is gonna be a messy one (in the best kinda angsty way) and I’m interested to see how Tristan will navigate through his emotions and with just not 1 but 2 relationships. Bravo to you for wanting to write such a delicate and complicated scenario. 👏🏻

Aaaaa I was worried this would go down this route man poor Ainsley and Tristan. Ainsley seemed to already be feeling some issues regarding their relationship and even wanted to fix it by going on a couples retreat, so I feel like if she heard about this their relationship would definitely be over or at least more on the rocks than it already is. When hearing about their relationship it makes me think that Ainsley does love Tristan, while for Tristan he may love her in a way but it also feels like just being in a relationship for the sake of it even if he doesn’t see it. He has put up a line for himself, not allowing his love to blossom and instead view his feelings towards Gumpy as pure admiration. Yet Gumpy didn’t do the same and kissed him. Yes they are drunk, and yes they are going through something, but that doesn’t make it ok to force their best friend who previously confessed to them into filling that hole left behind by the breakup. It’s selfish and cruel, especially after they were just talking about his and Ainsley’s relationship. And it sucks because it does feel like Gumpy and Tristan would suit each other better with more similar interests and their relationship already being as close as it is, but Ainsley shouldn’t have to be cheated on for them to see that. And Tristan too shouldn’t be forced into a spot that puts him between his relationship and his lifelong friendship. Even if he still holds feelings for Gumpy after everything, I don’t think he would entertain them while being in a relationship with Ainsley. I’m glad he pulled away but mannn I feel bad for his situation and especially for Ainsley. All I can hope for is that maybe Gumpy realizes they fucked up and apologizes and then willingly distances themselves so they don’t drag Tristan down with them. They need time (and maybe therapy) to get back on their feet, not a rebound with their best friend who’s already in a relationship.

respectfully what the fuck also i don’t get the comments. i mean, a kiss doesn’t consider cheating when you were the one who was kissed against your will. i don’t blame listener completely either. self control whilst being wasted is a rare skill, and i don’t think tristan was completely oblivious and didn’t take into account that that kiss wouldn’t happen in any case. like bro please pick your words. besides, i feel bad for his girlfriend, because physical affair is one thing, but saying the things like “you always make me feel amazing” I AM NOT YOUR GIRLFRIEND BRO come on. saying things like that when listener was so vulnerable and then also complaining about his relationship. like don’t talk about it with me, go to your girl.

Oh brother, what a mess 😮‍💨. This has the potential to be a real headache that's for sure, so I want to commend you Saku on getting the drama started literally on the 2nd episode. You just couldn't hold back, could you? 😂 First of all, I really don't care that Gumpy was drunk and impaired, they're hella out of line for that unwelcome kiss. However, I do wonder if they're unconsciously acting on feelings they may have been harboring for quite some time. Also, Gumpy alluding to Ansley not liking them...It could just be them being insecure or something, but I would like to know their general opinion on Ansley while sober, because I wonder if they're lowkey jealous of her assuming they truly have been harboring feelings for Tristan for sometime. If they do have feelings, then why the fuck were they in a relationship at all? That is so disrespectful to their partner. But if they don't, then they're basically just using Tristan as a rebound, and given that Tristan confessed to them years ago, that's just unreasonably selfish and cruel. They need to clear the air the moment they sober up and apologize to Tristan first thing in the morning. Truly embarrassing behavior from them. That shit pissed me off so bad. 😤 Next, Tristan. Idk what this dude is even doing. The amount of favoritism and priority he gives to Gumpy while leaving his girl with nothing is baffling. At the drop of a hat, he's ready to be at Gumpy's every beck and call, while his girlfriend just wants to spend some quality time together, which they clearly need, but he can't even do that. Her suggesting the couple's trip is a CLEAR indicator that she's becoming cautious of his closeness with Gumpy and wants to dispel some of her worries by strengthening their relationship. But what does Tristan do? He once again inserts Gumpy in their relationship. I'm sorry, but what does Gumpy going through a breakup have anything to do with you spending time with your girl? These aren't mutually exclusive events, but the way he reacts, you would think Gumpy got cancer or was in a terrible accident and is paralyzed from the waist down or just escaped an abusive relationship or suffered some other traumatic event that he wants to help them through. Nope. They just experienced a very typical breakup, but for some reason Tristan feels he needs to supervise them 24/7 like he's an on-call doctor or something??? And then to air out your grievances to the very person that's causing this rift is WILD. Thankfully, he did pull back from the kiss and immediately remove himself from the room. However, he isn't out of the clear yet. On top of him displaying rather subdued affection and love towards his girlfriend (it really feels like Ansley has more stake in the relationship and loves him more than he loves her), he also is in a crazy predicament to stop this whole situation from spiraling further by simply just communicating with her. He hasn't cheated since he was kissed against his will, so all he has to do is call Ansley or head back to his place to meet her face to face and tell her what happened. Yeah, she'll probably be angry and yeah, she may decide to end the relationship, but at least he did his due diligence and did right by his conscience to tell her immediately. The moment he waits or hesitates or just doesn't tell her at all because she'll be angry, she'll misunderstand, she'll hate Gumpy, the relationship might end, etc. that'll be it. Because what it all comes down to is if he feels guilty that the kiss happened, because he would only feel guilty about an action he had no control over if he had any lingering romantic feelings towards Gumpy at all, and that would be emotional cheating. And at that point, both Tristan and Gumpy can fuck off somewhere for all I care. 🤮 Either way, I'm siding with my girl Ansley. She needs more attention and love. 🥰
