The next episode of The Noble Trials is here! I swear, with every episode that I make, I seem to give myself more and more challenges when it comes to sound design, but for this one, I had so much fun with it! I love making my audios as immersive as possible, and I think this one is no exception. The characters are also surprising me in a way, but I'm taking it at their pace, and I think it is true to them. Thank you for continuing this long journey with Zaros and Earis, and I truly hope you enjoy this part!

since we know that nobles used to go to Zaros’ grandmother for curing, i think it’s safe to assume that the Earis’ brother also went to her and something happened which led to his death (and maybe her’s as well)?? which would also explain the history between the two families. alsoo Queen Roena having these frequent gaps in her memory would definitely explain the early renouncing. (i usually don’t comment but i’m proud of myself for coming to this realization 😭). but all in all, yet again another amazing audio i love where this story is going and i’m definitely obsessed and sat for the next one 🥹🥹!

There is SO much to unpack, I’m gonna have the time of my life diving into this especially with earis mother and her health and how she’s so persistent with preventing earis and Zaros from gettikg close. AND how Zaros feels guilt for what happened and how this could have played a part in his performance in the trial. GREAT JOB SAQU THIS WAS AMAZING AS ALWAYS

Ive been a listener for years and I can’t believe my first comment is going to be a complete word vomit. I have many thoughts and not an idea on where to begin. WOW. Roena’s concern for earis’ wound had me clutching my heart. And when she called earis “my love” 😭 my heaartttt. she seems like a strict (and pushy) but loving mother. But her calling Zaros a leech had me FLOORED. I was not expecting that from her. I do remember in one of the earliest episodes (it might have been the first) roena tells earis that no matter what happens, she’ll be proud of her child. But here she seems a lot more upset with the idea of earis losing the trials. I get it, I really want earis to win 😭 (and then marry Zaros and they live happily ever after anyway haha…😳) I eat up every single interaction zaros and earis have. UGH. they have such a fascinating dynamic and despite them not wanting to admit they’re friends (or something more…😏) they sure seem to constantly seek each other out. The fight had me pacing my bedroom. My goodness my heart was racing. I’m glad earis did well despite their wound. What a baddie. But also the ending??? Earis telling zaros they were wide open??? Were they trying to let zaros win???? My jaw is on the floor. I cannot wait for the next episode. I’ve been here since the Professor audios but zaros…man zaros is my roman empire.

The sound design in this!!!! Raaaaaa it was phenomenal! The battle was so intense, it felt like I was there with them for real. Interesting that Earis was wide open and Zaros didn’t go for it though 🤭 interesting choice from both sides hehehehehe. And a lil bit of waist touching okayyyy 😌 now kiss? 🫣 I’m very curious to see where this is gonna go and I was so sad when the audio was over! Keep up the excellent work! 💛

GODDDDD THERES SO MUCH I WANNA SAY Zaros and Earis’ dynamic might ruin me they’re so soft and cute now- even with all the persistent teasing. BUT ROENA??? Gosh- I’ve been playing devils advocate with her but after that display? BAD bad vibes from her eminence.. The fact that she brought up the letter put me off so much, and that’s without mentioning the way she spoke about zaros. MA’AM. AAAHSHSJSNS I MISSED THEM SO MUCH IM JDNSJSN OKOKOK When I said several episodes ago that I was thinking that Queen Roena had something to do with Earis’ and Zaros’ friendship ending IM SO SURE NOW AFTER THAT ENTRANCE. I feel like she definitely still blames what happened to her son on the Atha’lin family, and couldn’t stand the idea of her second child getting close to their child. Sooo when they became close in school, she probably tried to subtly have Earis distance themself or to think less of Zaros, but when that didn’t work she resorted to the letter. Her bringing it up by name is such a flag for me, and it makes sense for her story. And then her anger and worry? I get she’s a worried mother who already lost her first child, but the anger from her was so surprising to me. I loved that Earis defended Zaros’ image against Roena’s words and I honestly think that if something like the letter happened again then Earis wouldn’t believe it. Anyway, I think Roena, while caring for Earis, is more focused on keeping the Ilves name on the throne. Like she is fiercely determined to put Earis on the throne that I genuinely worry she’ll break the rules and get found out. She was so angry when the judges wouldn’t postpone the trial, and even when she was fighting for the postponement she brought in Earis’ therapist?? like no wonder Earis has only ever felt truly safe around Zaros when their own mother (whether unconsciously or not) treats them like a chess piece — pulling every string she can regardless of the boundaries or rules she’ll break on the way. NOW ON TO ZAROS AND EARIS <3 AA omg I was giggling kicking my feet when he came in all worried im so insane about them. I was so worried that Earis would revert back a bit after being back in the capital and after talking to their mom, but im so happy that they are still so cute and comfortable with one another. i need them to confess so bad like c’mon he hesitated for a second before calling them friends, your honor, they’re practically married. AND THE END OF THE FIGHT HABABS just kiss already im so serious. They already broke the physical barrier I just need them to admit they’re in love with each other and want to stay together. I didn’t think of this but after reading the comments I do wonder if Earis really did intentionally leave themselves open to try and let Zaros win, and then Zaros purposely didn’t take that opportunity. I also wonder if Halamar will notice that they both did that and if that will affect his judgement of the fight. Man I want a tie so they can both rule without it necessarily being through marriage 🙏🙏🙏 tldr THANK YOU SAKU <333 amazing episode as usual, I love literally everything about it. Zaros continues to be my favorite story and you bring him and the Noble Trials to life so beautifully. I am so excited for the next one!

It's so interesting how Roena interprets the judges' desire to play fair as "insolence." Having too much of an eagle-eye on keeping your family as the ruling power... says a lot about how LITTLE faith you have in your own kid? She, Eminence or not, has no right morally ... to influence what becomes of the trials even with good intentions. At times I feel like her interactions with the Earis become a matter of soothing herself through her own child, as opposed to seeing Earis as a person and letting the chips fall as they may. No wonder Earis wants to leave 💀. If they win, what would they truly be staying for? Does the possibility of changing things for the better truly carry more weight than (figuratively) giving up their own life for the throne?

I really feel like it’s worth mentioning that Queen Roena seemed WAY more upset about the letter that ended Earis’ and Zaros’ friendship then Earis themselves. It seemed like Earis is only agreeing with Queen Roena to keep her happy (and not send them back to their therapist). I also LOVE the fact that we get an update pertaining to how Queen Roena said she was sending Earis back to therapy after the (first or second trail i can’t remember ☹️). I think that the ending of Zaros’ and Earis’ friendship really affected Earis and how they portray themselves around other people including their mother, it seems like they only person they are not putting on show on for is Zaros but there is no telling how long or short that will last. Anyways that’s the end of my rant I LOVED this video it is so well done you can tell that the hard work put into this video and the series itself is top tier!!!!!!!!

I’m back with more thoughts after giving this another listen. I have a crazy theory regarding the letter. At this point, zaros has always been honest with earis and I have no reason to believe he’d lie about writing this letter (saqu pls im begging i need to know more about this damn letter) After reading some of the other comments it got me thinking. We know that the other nobles are willing to do favors for roena to stay on her good side. What if roena found out through someone that Earis was getting close to zaros at school but given the Ilves and Atha’lin history and Earis’ elder brother’s death (saqu pls IM BEGGING for a lore drop) roena wrote the letter to put distance between the two. I hope im wrong; what a blow that would be to Earis if their own mother ruined a friendship they had. But that’s just a theory. A game theory. On another note, if earis and zaros do end up together/coruling/ I can’t imagine the gossip or Roenas reaction. Poor zaros and earis. they deserve a nice vacation after all this. perhaps on a honeymoon? 🫣 im still left wondering where earis’ father is in all of this. He’s giving absentee father. 💀 im curious to know what kind of relationship earis has with him (if any at all. It seems they’re much closer to roena, at the very least) Ok I’ll shut up now. Kudos again for another spectacular episode. You have a gift making characters seem so lifelike with all their flaws, strengths, and personal histories. im eagerly awaiting the next one !

I was listening to this audio again and I just realised something. What if the reason why Q.Roena didn’t admit to the traitors being executed had something to do with her illness (hasn’t been confirmed). I mean, after her conversation with the Earis, she realised that the Earis and Zaros have gotten closer than ever to the point of the Earis defending Zaros in front of their mother. And of course she understands how Zaros is. He likes to run his mouth so the conversation about the traitors are bound to come up at some point between them (the Earis and Zaros). So just instead of Q.Roena ‘hiding’ the execution from the Earis, she just “forgot”… idk. Haven’t been keeping up with a lot of things nowadays so… I might be wrong or waaaayyyy behind 😅. Anyways just a thought 🫥
