With the wind rustling up the hammer-wielding heroine's quills, she couldn't help but ponder what's gotten her in this mess: dangling from a chain, wrapped in harsh wires and suspended high up in the skies, at the mercy of her one-eyed steel captor!

Not to long ago she stood opposing the odd madman — Mecha Sonic! Taking after his master in bizarre ways, the mechanical menace has branded himself a connoisseur of all things tech. Back from unwarranted early retirement on the behest of the newformed Brotherhood, this Sonic robot seeks to prove the grand superiority of meticulously designed machinery!

Thing is..? These contraptions aren't exactly aiming to wow anyone, especially not if you roll up to a brawl with a simple ball on a chain! I mean, like, seriously? Sure, perhaps Amy has been a little rude to the bot... but there's no way he thinks he looks imposing rolling up in something quite as dumb looking! Well... the pink hedgehog's sass wasn't quite appreciated!

Before long, Amy found herself at the receiving end of rather fierce efficiency. Incredibly agitated, the eager mechanic displayed his full mastery of the seemingly simple design, giving the hedgehog a run for her money! Geez, no wonder this thing used to give Sonic trouble! Despite putting up a valiant fight, Amy found herself completely outmatched, and it was merely a matter of time before a loud THONK of a well-timed swing sent both the girl and her overconfidence to catch some sleep.

Now, struggling against the thorough bindings, Amy had all the time in the world to think. You know what? Perhaps sometimes it's best to keep those witty remarks to yourself.

Gosh, Amy just can't seem to catch a break with these Sonic robots, can she? If only the real deal was as adamant about pursuing her!

This exact idea has been on mind for quite some time. In part inspired by an old Peach piece of Kuroi Hoshi's, I've always thought it'd be neat to see a sort of a twist on the classic Egg Wrecker fight from Sonic 1 (or Sonic & Knuckles in Mecha Sonic's case). Twist being? Instead of a large ball it's our beloved pink hedgehog swinging on the chain! One who should probably learn to keep her sass to herself at times, especially when dealing with emotionally vulnerable mechs!

Once more, thank you for the support! I hope this piece is to your liking — I've had lots of fun with both the drawing and its alts. I apologize for this being considerably delayed alongside the month's main piece, but I can only hope the results were well-worth the wait! And... who knows? Perhaps one day we'll see where this story thread leads :>
