- They spent a number of years just going to different countries in Asia to hos the show, and then they split it up over multiple days so they could go to multiple countries in a given year. Like 2018 had part of it in South Korea, part in Japan, and part in Hong Kong. - I'm assuming the one you heard was Here Comes The Regrets. - Certainly dates it, but I think it was a very cool concept. It was also in line with the MV (which featured kids has a bunch of different villains). - Yeah, this is quite the different song for Epik High. The three members are Tablo (Joker), Mithra Jin (Bane), and DJ Tukutz (Two-Face). As the DJ, Tukutz generally doesn't have lines. - The only ones that really stick out to me in the audience here is Super Junior. - I mainly picked the second one for Epik High, but I felt it would be rude to cut out Winner's part (they do have split videos with just Winner part and just Epik High parts). - I think part of the reason for traveling around is for getting other countries involved in the MNet Asian Music Awards even though most years the awards only involve K-Pop - Yoo Inna is mainly an actresses. When they did Happen Ending on music shows, they invited several different singers to perform with them (least most were from YG). Lee High, Suhyun, Minzy, Younha. - There are certainly mirrors in how Epik High did both of these stages. - Tablo originally rejected the beat for Born Hater. I believe it was only after a second listen that he decided to turn it into a song. - Bobby is such an amazing rapper. - I don't know if it was controversial. Especially given Tablo's history with haters (which is why Epik High has quite a few songs about haters). If you don't know the story: https://www.wired.com/2012/04/ff-koreanrapper/ - Yeah AoA and earlier during Born Haters was Sistar. For AoA, I can't imagine having to watch an entire award show in those outfits. - The different spots, first the dance battle, then the rap battle, and finally getting to do one of thing songs to showcase singing, was a great idea and a nice way to showcase different members. - Her was very different from a lot of Block B's different songs, but it is great song. Then Zico comes on and just kills it with the rap. Swan recently sang Her on Artistock along with eSNa, 8Mlee, and YELO. Was a cool performance. - That was more AoA. - Yeah, he was the originator. Seo Taiji and Boys - I will say, one performance from 2014 that I didn't include because I haven't watched it previously was IU's stage which included Mino. It at least gives you at least one performance to probably circle back aroudn to. - I told you this would be quite the journey. Seo Taiji was also in one of the original Korean metal groups. This was originally a Seo Taiji And The Boys song from 1999, and was certainly inspired by rock rap songs of that era. - Ailee really getting into the song. BTW the one group of girls that kept featured in the crowd was Girls Day. - Really glad you enjoyed them so far.

Thats a cool concept to include ppl from different places, even if still a lil one sided - yes that is the song i heard by the two of them previously - i think the concept is awesome and i agree, it is a great way for everyone to show off their particular skills and changes things up a lil. Its performances like the bts vs block b that make me appreciate award shows, a lot of times you would never get this maany different aartists under one roof with and expectation of epic performances. - i think its cool to see a different side of epik high and their style seems to make it eaasy to collab with them, they can blend with anyone and match their energy... I really like the Happy Ending. Born hater if my favorite song from them so far, i really liek the cypher feel but still in song form, that beat is soooooo catchy and explosive right from the get go im reaally happy that they didnt scrap it. - i really like what i know of bi and bobby, i know they both arent in the group anymore but i also need to revisit iKon - Ailee getting into it that much was awesome, i think it adds to the beauty of someone immensly, yeah it would be rough to sit for hours in the AoA outfits.Okaay i only barely know Girls Day, but i like the song Something - Im really glad to formally be introduced to Seo Taiji instead of him just being mentioned in passing. I thought io wouldnt like anything from that era, but i thoroughly enjoyed everything he did in these performances - i imagine ill will prolly go back to MAMA performances a lot and eventually get to seeing them all, but so far i really like the list you put together, i sincerely aappreciate it.

- Epik High can also probably get about anyone they want to collab with. The singers they get are always amazing. - Unless I missed something, I believe only B.I. left. But this has been a year of a lot of people leaving their groups. - I figured you either didn't know Girl's Day or just were vaguely familiar with them, since they are second generation. My introduction to them was on Running Man. Episode 162 to be exact which featured each Running Member cast being paired up with two members of various K-Pop groups. Yoo Jae Suk dancing with the two Girl's Day members will always be the first thing I think of when I think of that group. - First gen stuff is more than not a miss than a hit for me, but this performance was great.

I haven't heard anything about Bobby leaving, he was in the iKon dingo performance, that was misphrasing on my part - my first and second gen experiences are kinda spotty, there are like single songs I kinda remember, when I first got into kpop it was kinda overwhelming, and now that I'm a lot more familiar with people and groups I'm starting to remember and appreciate the first wave of kpop that hit me. - I kinda feel the same about older stuff being not a miss more than a hit. I value what they did to get us here today, but one of my biggest turn offs in music is it sounding dated without trying to. I love when they make an old sound new, but not vice versa
